INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

This intern will assist the Staffing the Mission Coordinator and other Class Action staff in making change in the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors, by:

•\tResearching equity-minded foundations, conferences, organizations and media outlets

•\tMaintaining database of potential collaborators

•\tPromoting a survey to foundations

•\tAnalyzing survey responses

•\tUpdating web pages

•\tCreating and posting memes on social media (including videos if skills allow)

•\tIncreasing social media traffic for Staffing the Mission blogs, vlogs, publications, etc.

•\tand other tasks as needed

Internship contracts are on a semester-by-semester basis, for a minimum of 10 and maximum of 12 weeks, 7 to 10 hours a week @ $16/hour (or $18/hour for grad students in philanthropy or nonprofit management programs). Currently we are looking for a fall 2022 intern, but will also review applications for spring and summer 2023.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS

• Demonstrated commitment to economic justice, intersectional anti-racism, and progressive change. Class Action's interns' values must be aligned with our mission.

•\tDetail oriented, with experience in entering and keeping track of detailed information

•\tOnline research competence

•\tExperience promoting social media posts on many platforms

Helpful: Personal experience working low-paid nonprofit jobs; experience with foundations and/or nonprofit organizations; WordPress or other html web editing; video editing.
