About the Department

Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) is where new and bold products are built and released within Cloudflare. Rather than being constrained by the structures which make Cloudflare a massively successful business, we are able to leverage them to deliver entirely new tools and products to our customers. Cloudflare's edge and network make it possible to solve problems at massive scale and efficiency which would be impossible for almost any other organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with Customers, Designers, and Product Managers to design and build systems that push the boundaries of what is possible at the Cloudflare edge. You will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. On any given day, you might write a design document that outlines how you plan to solve a specific problem or implement a new feature, modify how R2 Storage processes requests, or fix a bug that's impacting our users. You can expect to interact with a variety of languages and technologies including. We primarily use Typescript and Go.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
• Experience building and managing a large scale object storage platform.
• Deep knowledge of at least one modern strongly-typed programming language such as Typescript, Go, Java, or C#.
• Experience debugging, optimizing and identifying failure modes in a large-scale Linux-based distributed system.
• Experience working in low-latency, real-time processing environments such as game streaming, game engine architecture, high frequency trading, or payment systems.

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
• For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $168,000 - $206,000.
• For New York City-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $187,000 - $229,000
• For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $196,000 - $240,000

About Solutions Engineering at Cloudflare

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization owns the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. About the Team

The Support Operations Group is a high-impact, team of software engineers, program managers, data analysts and product specialists. We are responsible for building intelligent automation systems that allow our customers to get maximum value out of the Cloudflare product. We provide tooling that enhances business efficiency for our internal customer facing teams while ensuring that our customers have a great experience at the forefront of all our efforts.

What you’ll do

Our applications generate a lot of data and it's the Data Analysts responsibility to detect patterns, extract significance, and communicate results. You will be responsible for creating reports and dashboards used at the org, team, and IC level that identify business opportunities to deliver the maximum impact to our top level objectives. Data driven decision making is one of our core principals, and as a Data Analyst your efforts will directly help shape the direction of work for all teams in our organization.

Responsibilities

As a member of a rapidly growing and evolving team, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop compelling dashboards and automated reporting of key performance insights that can be used by the Support team
• Work closely with Support leadership to report on key business metrics to spot trends and answer important questions
• Help the product team to prioritize work by leveraging available data to identify high impact opportunities
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including finance, HR, finance, and others to deliver data required for monthly business reviews

Requirements

• Highly skilled at writing SQL to query relational databases; knowledge of R or Python is a plus

• Ability to handle multiple high priority initiatives with a keen focus on data accuracy, quality, and consistency
• 7+ years experience in a business/data analyst role supporting customer-facing teams
• Extensive experience creating compelling dashboards visualizations
• Critical thinking and the ability to deliver insights and recommendations based on the reports you will create
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Stakeholder management and being able to work cross functionally

What you'll do as a Solutions Engineer

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization owns the technical sales of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. You are a customer facing technologist within the Cloudflare Solutions Engineering team. You have experience in working in a pre-sales or other technical customer facing role supporting large enterprise accounts or acquiring new enterprise customers, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills suited to explain the benefits of CloudFlare products and services to existing and potential customers. In this role you will be responsible for partnering with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support, prepare and deliver technical presentations and demos explaining the benefits of Cloudflare products to existing and potential customers, and run proof of concept trials for customers.

What you'll do

We are looking for an experienced HR Systems Manager to lead our People & Payroll IT applications team at Cloudflare. This person will be primarily responsible for driving the People tech stack strategy and overseeing the operation process of HR process deployment while driving towards the identified business goals and metrics. The successful candidate will provide structure & leadership to business processes, technical solutions while overseeing the delivery of projects, and ensuring internal stakeholder satisfaction. This job requires an experienced manager who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, lead others, drive results, proactively identify, and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions. You will also be responsible for recommending and instituting business analysis best practices, tools and methodology towards standardization.

Lead large, global implementations of either new systems or new functionality within existing systems. Own the entire process from requirements gathering, documentation, testing strategy and execution, communication/change management, and ensure highest level of adoption as new system features or functional areas are rolled out.
• Provide functional and technical expertise for Workday platform, and any future People technology systems, including business process configuration, report development, integration design and configuration, and data management.
• Lead collaboration, cross functional teams to deliver high value People/Finance applications solutions including overall processes, architecture, and integrations with other applications.

About The Role

Our Revenue Operations & Strategy team is responsible for overall productivity and effectiveness of the revenue organization, partnering closely with teams across Cloudflare to drive growth and execute critical GTM initiatives. We're looking for an experienced GTM professional to join our Global Sales Incentive team and help shape Territory and Quota strategy as we scale well beyond $1B in revenue. You will report to the Head of Global Sales Compensation, and work closely with GTM Leadership to develop an infrastructure that helps us intelligently deploy quotas at scale, and support the territory management process. Data is critical to the success of this role and this person will be responsible for partnering with our Data Strategy & Analytics Lead, and BI teams to further incorporate data into our quota models.

Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of end to end sales compensation design and execution, and have managed territory and quota excellence as a central function at an enterprise level. You understand account level master data management, have experience with 3rd party data sources such as Dun and Bradstreet, ZoomInfo, Crunchbase, etc., and have a strong understanding of SaaS sales models. At Cloudflare we have strong Regional Sales Operations Leaders who you will partner with to ensure the implementation of a scalable model that supports regional needs. You will work with our Head of GTM Strategy and Planning to implement policies, rules of engagement, and processes that support our evolving coverage model. What you'll do:

We are looking for an experienced channel sales professional to help us build out our mid-market channel organization in North America.

In this role, you’ll identify, recruit and operationalize new reseller and systems integrators partner organizations to help expand Cloudflare’s indirect sales reach within an assigned territory. You will collaborate with the channel team to build a regional partner business plan with quantified goals and milestones to achieve partner sourced revenue metrics to meet all quarterly sales requirements.

Responsibilities
• As critical members of Cloudflare’s Enterprise Sales team, Solutions Engineers drive technical discussions and implementations to help generate new business, expand existing business, and keep our customers happy.
• In business generation and expansion, you’ll be tasked with qualification of prospect and customer use cases, technical requirements discovery, leading demonstrations, solution identification and design, and collaborative work on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
• For our existing customers, Solutions Engineers are part of a dedicated account team that advises the customer on technical best practices, implementation of Cloudflare products and features, and strategic guidance on internet security and performance.
• The role requires 20-50% travel to attend meetings with prospects or customers, attend conferences and other industry events, and to collaborate with your Cloudflare teammates.

Requirements

• Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.

• You can describe the differences between CSRF, XSS, and SQLi in detail, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them.
