We are in need of mentors in Typescript (and also Rust, but mostly Typescript at the moment) to help jr devs become rapidly proficient and successful.

The projects that we are working on are cutting edge decentralized tech that empowers workers to own their own reputation, tools for transparency and work-weighted governance (with and without wallets), and empowering consumers to make sustainable choices systematically. So there's that - this is legit #techforgood, most of it will be open source, and it may be of interest to experienced devs as well.
What's Cookin' Inc was in the first set of Fairmint powered companies and was contracted by Bluesky to run the initial community (now dSocialCommons.org), and we are a partner of HUMAN Protocol. We have... some really cool and experienced global devs already on the team, and a great group of young coders in Egypt, Kenya, Myanmar and elsewhere ready to get to the next level.
(It's also possible that you could be involved in the next grant proposal and/or pitch in which case we would have funds to offer, but currently this is an EQUITY-ONLY position. We do write great recommendations as well Show more details...

As a Code Mentor at our after-school session in an elemtary school in Ballard you will Work at an Elementary school IN-PERSON in Ballard Host 90 minutes of coding class in Scratch and / or JavaScript to 3rd to 5th grade students Follow our teaching program Create a positive and safe environment where students can grow Take attendance for the students IN-PERSON Allow students to be picked up by their parents.
Follow school release protocol.
Keep classroom clean to ensure pleasant experience for all Write notes and progress reports for all students.
Provide feedback to parents after working with student.
Report weekly to Operations Manager on progress Hours of Operation:
3 hours per week following either of these hours Monday :

Experience you need:

30 PM during weekdays Tech savvy Working history with children ages 7 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.
) Good communication and collaboration skills Must be fun to work with and like working with children in fast paced environments where requirements can change frequently You are the AWESOME superhuman we are looking for if You are self-driven and challenge oriented.
