CMC is a comprehensive, public, open-access dual-mission
institution offering 136 academic programs ranging from specialized
certificates to associate and bachelor’s degrees, a wide range of
online, non-credit and lifelong learning courses, as well as
extensive concurrent enrollment opportunities in close partnership
with neighboring school districts.
Over 15,000 students attend CMC annually, and 40% of degree-seeking
students earn a certificate or degree every year. The college’s
Latinx enrollment has doubled in six years to 28%, making CMC a
federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). CMC
courses are highly personal and many are highly experiential by
design, each with a maximum registration of 25 students.
Colorado Mountain College campuses are located in Aspen,
Carbondale, Breckenridge, Dillon, Steamboat Springs, Glenwood
Springs, Glenwood Springs-Spring Valley, Leadville, Rifle, the Vail
Valley, and Salida. Of these locations, three are
residential—Spring Valley, Leadville, and Steamboat Springs — and
students in Breckenridge have access to college-owned off-campus
housing. CMC campuses are close-knit communities, on average
serving between 1,000 – 2,000 students.
The majority of the college’s financial support comes from local
property taxes, not tuition or state revenues. Consequently, CMC is
uniquely positioned to be entrepreneurial, nimble, mission-focused,

historic downtown Glenwood Springs, the town from which CMC

Under the supervision of a designated supervisor, the Enrollment
Services Specialist is responsible for assisting with enrollment,
registration, financial aid and recordkeeping procedures in
cooperation with faculty and administration at assigned campus. The
Enrollment Services Specialist may serve as a lead, assisting with

The position
Under the direct supervision of CMC’s President & CEO and in close coordination with the college’s Chief Operating Officer & Chief of Staff, the Vice President and Campus Dean provides executive level vision, innovation, and overall leadership to both the Spring Valley and Glenwood Center campuses to ensure the success of students, employees and the communities served by the campuses under her/his/their leadership. This position oversees both Spring Valley, a residential campus, and the Glenwood Center, a non-residential campus. Colorado Mountain College is a dual mission, open access institution with multiple campuses over a broad geographic area. The college, also a Hispanic-Serving Institution, is a political subdivision governed by a nonpartisan elected board of trustees and funded uniquely and primarily by local property tax revenues.
This position works closely with the college’s executive team as well as internal and external constituent groups to further CMC’s mission and vision, including responding to the changing needs and demographics of local communities. The position oversees all operations at the campuses, adhering to college-wide policy and working in close collaboration with central office leadership and departments. The incumbent is accountable for campus compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations; for ensuring that operations and programming are consistent with college-wide practice and procedures; and for providing effective engagement with community stakeholders, including K-12 school officials, business and non-profit leaders, elected and government officials, alumni, and others. The position is responsible for the oversight, direction, and operations of any and all service sites. In collaboration and coordination with the CMC Foundation, the Vice President and Campus Dean will engage in friend- and fundraising locally and contribute to college-wide projects and campaigns from time to time.
The Vice President and Campus Dean of a residential site has responsibilities that include oversight of student residential facilities, food service, libraries and related features, functions, and services.
This position may be combined with other central or college-wide roles and responsibilities.

Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate success working within diverse communities; establishing access and student success programs; and partnering with government and community leaders to provide educational solutions to community needs. Knowledge of and experience with innovative approaches to traditional education challenges is highly desirable.
Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position, such as a master’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of seven years or relevant executive or senior level experience or equivalent. Doctorate or terminal degree preferred; ten years of experience in complex organizations preferred.
Special skills or abilities related to position: knowledge of current principles, practices, and trends in leadership, organizational development, and management; higher education budgeting and fiscal oversight; federal laws, codes and regulations covering higher educational institutions; trends and developments in technology which have campus and/or district-wide implications.
Ability to lead campuses through multi-faceted opportunities; facilitate cooperation through discussion and consensus-building; analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational goals; implement organizational/reorganization policy to effect a functional administrative delivery system; identify and respond to public and Board of Trustees issues and concerns; ability to provide leadership in the areas of integrity and ethics in order to implement institutional goals; communicate effectively orally and in writing; establish cooperative working relationships in the course of performing assigned duties.

This position works closely with the college’s executive team as well as internal and external constituent groups to further CMC’s mission and vision, including responding to the changing needs and demographics of local communities. The position oversees all operations at the campuses, adhering to college-wide policy and working in close collaboration with central office leadership and departments. The incumbent is accountable for campus compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations; for ensuring that operations and programming are consistent with college-wide practice and procedures; and for providing effective engagement with community stakeholders, including K-12 school officials, business and non-profit leaders, elected and government officials, alumni, and others. The position is responsible for the oversight, direction, and operations of any and all service sites. In collaboration and coordination with the CMC Foundation, the Vice President and Campus Dean will engage in friend- and fundraising locally and contribute to college-wide projects and campaigns from time to time.
The Vice President and Campus Dean of a residential site has responsibilities that include oversight of student residential facilities, food service, libraries and related features, functions, and services.
This position may be combined with other central or college-wide roles and responsibilities.

The TRIO Upward Bound (UB) Project Director is funded through a U.S. Department of Education grant. The project works with low income, first generation, or academically disadvantaged high school students, in target area schools, to help them develop the skills needed to become successful college students.

As Digital Media Faculty at The Isaacson School for Communication, Arts and Media at Colorado Mountain College, you will work at the Spring Valley campus in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and have teaching responsibilities in Aspen, Colorado. Faculty work collaboratively to support the interdisciplinary Isaacson School philosophy in a fluid, adaptive environment. Course delivery modalities include traditional face-to-face, online, hybrid, and Web-enabled/virtual. The focus is on strong portfolio outcomes across a range of media. You will teach in the areas of digital videography/filmmaking, visual effects, motion graphics, and emergent media. Courses to be taught include Creative and Digital Thinking, Emerging Multi-Media Tech, and Multimedia Design & Production.
You will have an active role in the recruitment and retention of students, including portfolio reviews, scholarship auditions, and in-state recruiting events. Responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teaching course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and participate in advising, orientation and registration activities. You will engage in scholarly endeavors as well as service activities such as campus and college committees, participation in relevant projects, mentor peers, participate in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention.
Requirements:
Must have a Master’s degree in Digital Arts, Digital Media, Digital Production or a related field with a minimum of three years of directly related experience, including the equivalent of one year full time teaching experience. Higher Education teaching preferred. Applicants who possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of five years directly related experience, including the equivalent of one year full time teaching experience may also be considered.
