If you are able to write clearly, develop sources and can take initiative to find stories, this may be the role for you. The successful candidate will be proficient in AP writing and reporting, photography, videography and digital platforms. We are looking for someone who seek visual/audio storytelling opportunities and has experience using social media to promote stories. Preference will be given to candidates with a journalism degree, although internships and experience will be considered. New graduates/journalists are welcome to apply and the Columbus Telegram provides an opportunity for journalists to learn and grow. This position will work some night and weekend hours. Candidates must be comfortable and able to utilize digital media in addition to print.

Time/Schedule Requirements:
This position is a full-time position that requires 40 hours of work each week or more.
Due to the nature of the position, hours of work could include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Position will require being on-call in the evenings, on weekends, and holidays.
While this position has some flexibility for the work week, the Program Director will set weekly schedule for this position, and the Program Supervisor will adhere... to required schedule.

Maintain the minimum vehicle liability and medical coverage as required by law
Education Requirements - A minimum of a bachelor's degree completed in psychology, social work, child and family studies, or other human services related field is required.
