Homes.com is growing quickly and we’re looking for a Manager, Data Analytics to help accelerate our growth. This role will be responsible for helping build out sitewide tracking architecture on Homes.com, and then feeding that data into user-friendly KPI dashboards which track site performance and, product usage, and provides day to day insights on consumer behavior. This individual will help build out the analytics team for Homes.com and work across all departments to provide analysis and insights for future growth. You will oversee various aspects of our data management, ranging from designing and maintaining automated data infrastructure and spearheading BI solutions to facilitating data access and analysis for key company teams.

This position is located in Washington, DC and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities
• Act as a player coach to a growing team of data engineers and analysts
• Build state of the art sitewide tracking architecture for Homes.com.
• Oversee automated data infrastructure: Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to streamline data tracking in our products. Direct the development of automated scripts using SQL or Python, transforming raw source data into accessible datasets for analysts throughout the company.
• Lead BI solution design and maintenance: Orchestrate the design and development of BI solutions catering to our product, marketing, and sales teams. This involves managing stakeholder requirement gathering, data model design, and the development of insightful reports and dashboards.
• Liaise with key company teams for data accessibility and analysis: Facilitate collaboration between product, marketing, and sales teams to comprehend their data requirements, equipping them with the necessary tools and resources for efficient data access and analysis. Also responsible for organizing training on BI tools and creating data-driven solutions to business issues.
• Implement, acquire and uphold data quality procedures: Establish and maintain procedures to assure the accuracy and integrity of our data. This includes the development of data validation rules, conducting data audits, and addressing data discrepancies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions: Oversee BI solutions to ensure their seamless functioning and address any issues that arise. This includes routine backups, monitoring performance metrics, and investigating and resolving errors.
• Mentor and manage engineers and analysts in the normal execution of their responsibilities.
• Interact regularly with technology and business executives
• Conduct ongoing and in depth needs analysis (approximately 20% of total time) with client to obtain detailed business requirements
• Successfully implement software development projects to specification and within scheduled timelines and budget parameters. Ensure proper software development practices are followed and provide guidance and/or assistance when necessary
• Provide status reports and feedback to Business Management
• Work with internal and external clients to document project success criteria
• Drive continuous improvement within team by focusing on engineering excellence
• Work with recruiting to identify, hire and onboard top industry talent
• Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices
• Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or adjacent field required from an accredited, not for profit, university or college
• A track record of commitment to prior employers
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering and/or data analytics teams
• Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams while thriving in a fast-paced growth tech environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong internal relationships and managing key stakeholders, including C-Suite.
• 8+ years of experience with SQL, Python, business intelligence, and data warehousing
• Advanced SQL, Excel and Python skills
• Knowledge of business intelligence software (ie Power BI, Tableau, Kibana) and web analytics tools (ie Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery)
• Ability to retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving system performance.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Experience with BigQuery and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with Cloud data lakes/storage/databases and tools such as AWS S3, Snowflake, Data Pipeline and other Cloud providers such as MS Azure
• Experience working with and managing large consumer datasets to derive insights
• Background in the residential or commercial real estate industry
