Our Global Markets Documentation (GMD) team is responsible for the negotiation of master agreements and associated documents for the bank’s global markets business.
Do work that matters:
You will play a key role in providing high value documentation services, including preparing, reviewing and negotiating long form confirmations, master agreements and associated documents, assisting when regulatory changes impact on the bank’s global markets master agreements, assisting the operations department with non-standard confirmations, key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the bank’s global markets business in New York where real time support is required.
• Establishing and maintaining effective and appropriate working relationships with the Group’s internal Business Units and external contacts (where applicable) as one of the documentation officers providing support to the global markets business within Institutional Banking & Markets.
• Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of, and expertise in, the Group's documentation practices in the global markets business.
• Providing accurate, timely, commercial advice through effective communication.
• Working collaboratively with GMD colleagues located in New York, London, Sydney and Brisbane.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
• A minimum of 4 years’ global markets documentation experience.
• Excellent technical skills including the ability quickly to grasp, negotiate and resolve issues in the negotiation of global markets documentation.
• Excellent knowledge of the ISDA Master Agreement, Credit Support Annex and associated documentation.
• Knowledge of other types of master agreements used in the global markets (eg GMRAs, GMSLAs, give-up agreements) would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of regulatory issues affecting global markets (including Variation Margin CSA / Initial Margin CSA documentation).
• Knowledge of how to go about dealing with different types of counterparties (eg hedge funds, investment funds, insurance companies, trustees of trusts and partnerships).
• Knowledge of close-out netting analysis with respect to different counterparty types and jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of confirmations (including long form interest rate cap confirmations) would be an advantage.
The salary range for this role is from $131,000 to $178,000. The salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager primarily working on model methodology in the IRB Data Integrity and Model Methodology function Your core responsibilities include:
• You will be involved in researching methodology options, methodology selection, identifying the underlying data requirements and working with modelling stakeholders to establish a pathway for credit models across the bank
• You will also be focused on tracking the required data remediation and enrichment initiatives, which form a critical first step to enabling the use of a broader range of methodologies in future
• You need to demonstrate the right balance between understanding and employing advanced modelling methodologies, and the ability to simplify these concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
