More about the role & team
The Compliance Services group provides a full range of solutions to investment advisers and broker-dealers in managing their compliance programs. Compliance Services conducts mock exams, risk assessments and compliance reviews for its clients, who are registered in the United States. In addition, Compliance Services also offers outsourced compliance services such as drafting policies, preparing and making regulatory filings, code of ethics monitoring and electronic communication reviews.
Working under general direction, lead and participate in client consulting engagements, generally consisting of compliance reviews, mock exams, risk assessments, registrations and filings. While primarily assigned to a practice area (e.g. Retail, Institutional/RIC, Private Funds), client engagements will include exposure across client base.
You will form part of a team who are based remotely across the US.
What skills and experience do I need to succeed?
You will have 7+ years’ experience in investment management industry, with particular emphasis in compliance, either as a practitioner, consultant or regulator; preference will be given to candidates with experience working for a US regulator and/or exposure to private fund advisers or registered investment companies
You will also hold good working knowledge of the relevant securities laws and rules, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934
You may have worked as a ‘Senior Compliance Consultant’, ‘Compliance Practitioner’, ‘Compliance Manager’, ‘Compliance Officer’, 'Chief Compliance Officer' or ‘Regulator’ to name a few.

About the role
The Data Governance Manager will lead the day-to-day operations and oversight of data which includes accuracy, completeness, lineage and timeliness of data in Confluence’s Paris and Prism Analytics products. The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining processes and standards across the products and across our clients. The Data Governance Manager will create frameworks and monitoring tools to ensure the standards they set are being followed. They will also work closely with our product teams to prioritize and groom development, to ensure these standards are met. This position will be reporting into our product leadership team and could have product ownership responsibilities at times. This role has significant client facing interaction and the employee will be required to participate/lead client meetings to understand our client’s workflows and to help ensure data governance is followed.

We help our global clients analyze, measure and report on their assets in a highly insightful, accurate and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
· Create a data governance framework and set of monitoring tools to improve various aspects of our system data
· Create a roadmap of projects to work on with input from Product and Technology
· Work closely with our product teams during the product conception phase to assess viability of the data to support that idea.
· Work with internal constituents and with clients to ensure effective data governance processes are in place
· Automate and manually clean up data across environments.
· Work with our organization to ensure data security best practices are in place
· Develop best practices for data completeness and accuracy
· Simplify data process wherever possible
· Design and work with product/development teams to execute on key new data related roadmap items
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
• Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of financial industry experience
• Knowledge of financial markets is a must
• Knowledge of Investment Consulting data and reporting workflows
• Institutional Asset Management experience is a big plus
• Understanding the software development lifecycle is a plus
• Possess the technical skills to be able to assess certain data elements independently for timeliness, completeness and accuracy.
Technical skills:
• SQL required
• Python and PowerBI preferred

About the role
