Position Summary And Responsibilities

Working from our office in Duluth, Georgia, or from your home office within the state of Georgia, floating certified teachers will “virtually” manage instructional programs. The teacher will be asked to substitute teach in classrooms from grades 5-12. When no substituting is required, the floating teacher will provide behavioral and academic interventions for at-risk students in academic subjects as requested by teachers and instructional leadership staff. Through use of the telephone, Internet and various curriculum tools they will consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure that each child successfully completes his/her instructional program. Eligible candidates must meet Georgia Teacher Certification requirements for grades 4-8 and/or grades 6-12 in any of the core subject areas: Math, Science, Social Studies, and/or Language Arts.

The Floating Teacher will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
• Complete grading in a timely manner to communicate student progress to students and parents;
• Communicate frequently with parents, students and other teachers on a regular basis to provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects;
• Support students and parents with strategies for success in a virtual environment and provide assistance with assignments and projects as needed;
• Support the instructional program with synchronous and asynchronous lessons, recordings, and instructional materials;
• Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding (working directly with students and parents);
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to review data and develop instructional strategies to address students at all levels
• Devise and implement virtual methods of creating and maintaining a “school community”;
• Work with other teachers to coordinate social activities and relevant field trips for students and integrate trips into the curriculum whenever possible;
• Attend school sponsored events such as Beginning and End of Year Events study sessions, etc.
• Participate in the organization and administration of the State Testing, as directed;
• Participate in student recruiting sessions and other marketing efforts that require teacher representation;
• Develop a general knowledge of the entire program’s 5-12 curriculum and a very detailed knowledge of the courses for which responsible;
• Other duties as assigned.

Based on potential student enrollment changes, this position will work until the end of the 2022-2023 school year as a Floating Teacher/Internal Substitute Teacher. At that time, the school and department leadership will evaluate the status of this position and could extend it for the following school year if they deem it necessary. Position Summary :

Working from their home, the Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist will provide virtual speech therapy to K-12 students who are enrolled in Connections Academy virtual public schools.

The SLP will connect with students using webcams and web conferencing software, while using the company's online Education Management System to manage their caseload.

Primary Responsibilities :
• Provide high quality speech language services to assigned students while supporting program implementation;
• Planning and implementing individual and group therapy in a virtual environment;
• Be an expert on assigned school and state specific policies and procedures for implementing LiveSpeech services;
• Maintain a positive working relationship between the LiveSpeech team, and the schools and programs we serve;
• Review and analyze a variety of reports to maintain compliance;
• Maintain a high level of communication with the leadership team and school staff;
• Timely and thorough documentation of therapeutic interventions and progress reports;

• Conduct screenings and formal and informal evaluation of all students’ communication needs using documented best practices;

Position Summary And Responsibilities

This position is working with Alabama Connections Academy. From our office in Athens or from your home office within the state, certified Teachers will virtually manage instructional programs. Through use of the telephone, Internet and various curriculum tools they will consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure that each child successfully completes their instructional program. The Special Education Teacher will participate in all steps of the IEP process. They will work closely with other teachers and district professionals to ensure that the school’s special education program is successful and operating in compliance with federal and state regulations.

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
• Manage and provide instructional guidance, virtual teaching and general strategies for a caseload of students;
• Develop, write and help implement IEPs and 504 plans;
• Evaluate tests and assessments, complete report cards and conduct parent conferences;
• Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches of students with special needs to insure that their IEP goals are being met, and that their needs are addressed in a timely and appropriate fashion;
• Consult with teachers and coordinate the implementation of specially designed instruction as defined in the IEP regarding students with specific needs and potential learning issues;
• Provide direct services to students including services delivered through web-conferencing software, as needed;
• Schedule, organize and conduct IEP related meetings in a virtual environment, as needed;
• Participate in the school’s Student Support Team, helping teachers and learning coaches develop and implement program modifications and strategies for all students;
• Assist, as needed, with the organization and proper implementation of all paperwork, documentation and procedures for the IEP process;
• Assist with locating service providers for students needing related services as mandated by their IEPs;
• Assist with negotiating and executing contracts with service providers for students requiring such services;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the school’s Learning Management System and special education software;
• Assist with administering state testing and coordinate the special adaptations that are required based on the IEP; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Degree in Special Education or related Education Field
• Valid Alabama Special Education certification
• Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education
• Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Customer focused approach
• High degree of flexibility
• Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
• Team player track record
• Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)

Working from your home in Minnesota, the ELL teacher will “virtually” manage instructional programs for ELL students via telephone and Internet with the use of various curriculum tools. Position Overview

The Director of School Operations reports directly to the Executive Director and performs administrative and supervisory work in the operations of the school.  Capture and organize key school data with reliability for the creation and completion of various compliance reports (enrollment, staffing, etc).

 Manage and successfully complete all necessary compliance reporting to the Local, State, Federal Government, and GACA stakeholders.

 Ensure that all fire, life, and safety regulations and procedures are implemented ensuring the wellbeing of all school staff and scholars.

School Operations

 Assuring that all terms of the contracts held by the organization are being met

 Determining staffing needs including selection, supervision, staff development and evaluation of all non-instructional organizational personnel

 Ensuring that the Executive Director is informed of the operations of the school and any problems which arise

 Maintaining records and necessary reports for efficient operation of organization and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements

 Support the Building’s Facilities Management with any facility related initiatives as needed.
