Safely operates a variety of heavy equipment, not limited to; backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, dump trucks, water trucks. Will be responsible for preventative maintenance and pre-shift walk around of the assigned equipment to assure safe operation.

• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Position Summary
Constructors, Inc. is searching for a highly motivated Construction Site Laborer to join our team. This position will prepare areas for asphalt and concrete surfaces by using hand and power tools to conform to specifications. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. **Please note: Work may be away from home requiring overnight stays possibly a week at a time or longer.**
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Compact and level earth to grade specifications.
Spread asphalt and concrete.
Load, unload and handle steel and wood paving forms and accessories.
Drill and install concrete dowels and tie bars.
Direct and dump trucks for asphalt and concrete.
Set string line for alignment and grade.
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Meet the obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Environmental Protection Act. Adhere to safety standards established by the company.
Lubricate, clean, and fuel machinery, equipment, and tools.
Must observe and practice safety standards and policies of the department.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Education
• High School diploma or GED; and
• some experience with construction materials and/or concepts; or
• an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations
• Valid Driver's License
