As our Benefits and Compensation Analyst you will be responsible for the administration of our health and compensation plans for both current and former employees, as needed. As Associate Director, Data Infrastructure and Administration you will design, develop and evolve modern data infrastructure as per the data architectural roadmap while overseeing day to day operations in care and maintenance of various data repositories and tools (capacity planning, installation, versioning, patching, monitoring, backup, recovery, access management, security etc.). The Associate Director will ensure 24/7 database availability with zero to minimal downtime, along with support needed off hours for any production issues or maintenance. You will also define and enforce database standards and best practices in collaboration with architecture, engineering, governance, infosec, and devops teams and oversee the support needed for data infrastructure audits.
About You
You’ll Be Highly Rated If You Have:
• A bachelors degree in computer science engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 9 years relevant experience, including thorough knowledge and demonstrated success in database administration and building modern data infrastructure in the cloud
• Proven ability prior experience in managing and developing staff
• Experience working in AWS Cloud
• Experience administering relational database Databases (Oracle, MySQL - Both on-premise and on cloud in AWS RDS instances)
• Thorough knowledge of scripting languages ( Unix Shell Scripting, SQL, Python)
• Experience working with devops tools and technologies (git, dockers, kubernetes, terraform, jenkins)
• Experience working in cloud datawarehouses (Snowflake)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Experience working with various database technologies and modern data tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with business and technology

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $170k to $190 k. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range.
