Philip Morris International (PMI) has been an entirely separate company from Altria and Philip Morris USA since 2008, with PMI focusing on international markets outside the United States. PMI has never sold cigarettes in the United States.

PMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer

PMI Global Services Inc. and PM Global Brands Inc. are a subsidiary of Philip Morris International Inc. Philip Morris International (PMI) is leading a transformation in the tobacco industry to create a smoke-free future and ultimately replace cigarettes with smoke-free products to the benefit of adults who would otherwise continue to smoke, society, the company, its shareholders and its other stakeholders. PMI is a leading international tobacco company engaged in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes, as well as smoke-free products, associated electronic devices and accessories, and other nicotine-containing products in markets outside the U.S. In addition, PMI ships versions of its IQOS Platform 1 device and consumables to Altria Group, Inc. for sale under license in the U.S., where these products have received marketing authorizations from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) pathway; the FDA has also authorized the marketing of a version of IQOS and its consumables as a Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP), finding that an exposure modification order for these products is appropriate to promote the public health. PMI is building a future on a new category of smoke-free products that, while not risk-free, are a much better choice than continuing to smoke. Through multidisciplinary capabilities in product development, state-of-the-art facilities and scientific substantiation, PMI aims to ensure that its smoke-free products meet adult consumer preferences and rigorous regulatory requirements. PMI's smoke-free product portfolio includes heat-not-burn and nicotine-containing vapor products. As of September 30, 2022, PMI's smoke-free products are available for sale in 70 markets in key cities or nationwide, and PMI estimates that approximately 13.5 million adults around the world, excluding Russia and Ukraine have already switched to IQOS and stopped smoking.

Philip Morris International is committed to a safe workplace. We have implemented COVID-19 safety protocols that meet or exceed local public health guidelines. Workplace safety remains our number one priority. As a result, PMI recommends all US- and Canada-based employees to be vaccinated in order to access any of our facilities; this is subject to change solely at the Company’s discretion

VICE x Team

The insights team at VICE is responsible for creating thought leadership and strategic thinking that fuels the growth of VICE Media Group and its partners. We are experts in primary research methodologies – both qualitative and quantitative - but also surface insights from across VICE’s ecosystem such as content analytics, campaign performance, our DMP and some third party data sources. The team is as much analytical as it is creative. We thrive on curiosity, ambition and collaboration – within the team and across departments.

Role x You

You are a passionate, strategic and detail-oriented researcher who is well versed in a variety of methodologies but also wants to break with convention and create new ways to gather, analyze and tell stories with data and information.

In the short term you will manage research initiatives for both VICE and partner brands. This includes working with teammates to translate business objectives into a research approach, crafting the research instruments, fielding the project and analyzing the results. You will work on bespoke research projects for internal departments, external clients and thought leadership for the company as a whole.

After 6 months in this role you will manage projects more independently, honing your strategic thinking and storytelling skills to develop thought provoking and actionable takeaways. You’ll be passionate about developing creative ways to display data and information.

And after a year you’ll grow to lead some projects on your own and be actively sharing insights internally through workshops and externally at client presentations.

Qualifications

You have these:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in consumer research and constantly curious about the world around you
• Solid project management and organizational skills with strong detail orientation and ability to multitask
• Proficiency with data analysis tools
• Ability to analyze and summarize data and information across sources and methodologies

We’d love if you also had these:
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Previous experience at a media company

We want to find people who believe in our goals and feel inspired enough to grow while they’re here to fill the role, rather than someone who checks the boxes but isn’t invested. We encourage you to apply and show us what you’ve got.

If you require reasonable accommodation during the application and selection process, please let us know. We will work together to best meet your needs.

Working at VICE

VICE prioritizes the ideas and people that other media companies miss.
