WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Review pre-produced content to be used in Court TV programming, with an eye towards adherence to network standards, as well as continuity and accuracy.
• Interact daily with Court TV staff to offer guidance on programming content.
• Understand and accurately implement standards as they apply specifically to the different platforms on which Court TV content may be distributed.
• Maintain a knowledge base of significant trials - both current and past -- to aid in communication with Court TV editorial staff.
• Assist with additional Standards & Practices department responsibilities as needed, both across the Scripps News Group (Court TV and Scripps News) and with review of acquired content for Scripps Networks division.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree or prior relevant work experience is required.
• Prior experience in news or journalism and/or analyzing materials for Standards and Practices concerns is a plus.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Proven track record of problem-solving and taking initiative in cross-departmental communication and processes.
