As a Crutchfield Technical Support Specialist, you will:
• Provide technical support to customers who have purchased product from Crutchfield.
• Engage our customers with a calm, interested and professional demeanor.
• Help customers understand and utilize their equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical or product issues (for both home and car equipment). This might involve diagnosing problems, offering solutions, and/or providing step-by-step instructions to help customers resolve the issue.
• Actively listen to the customer to determine their needs, and paraphrasing, if needed, to clarify.
Qualifications:
• Passion for customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• A background in electronic (and other related fields) is recommended but not required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills and basic math skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through phone, email, and chat.
• Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule, including some evenings until 8pm and at least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday).
Training:
If you don't know everything about electronics, no worries. Every new team of Technical Support Specialists gets three months of paid, hands-on training with an experienced Tech Trainer before working with customers on their own. Our next training class is scheduled to begin April 24th, 2023.
Salary and Benefits:
Pay starts at $18.06/hour with potential for a bonus based on performance of up to $300 every 3 months. We also offer a competitive benefit package, a comprehensive wellness program, tuition reimbursement, relaxed dress code, and discounts on the fun stuff we sell. You're even allowed to bring your dog to work!
Onsite and Remote Work:
Our new Technical Support Specialist will be trained onsite in Charlottesville, VA, but after training you will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule which allows 3 days working from home and 2 days working onsite per week.
