The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to explore the world of research. Students undertake a project which is part of the research program of a research laboratory, are supervised by a research scientist and work alongside other research staff and students in the team.
A wide variety of projects are available to UROP students including those in basic biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, physiology, bioengineering and bioinformatics. UROP... offers positions in both wet and dry labs (such as in the fields of computational science, engineering and mathematics, among others).
UROP is looking for students who:
• are interested in a career in biomedical research or clinical research

IMT is seeking Project Managers that can lead and inspire our project teams, stakeholders and customers; Project Managers that understand the benefits of leadership and self- directed teams and the need to remove external impediments for team and project success.
The Project Manager will generally manage two, or more, IT projects using modern Methodologies, will work in an interdisciplinary team involving researchers, business representatives, software developers, business analysts and test analysts and will operate in an agile and highly collaborative environment.
This is an environment that accommodates and welcomes change – We value individuals and interactions over process and tools along with working software over comprehensive documentation.
Your duties will include:
• Manage multiple, and complex, projects using methodologies appropriate to the project and the context (i.e. agile, kanban etc)
• Deliver projects to scope, budget, schedule, and stakeholder expectation and with appropriately mitigated risks
• Support and enable team members to do their best work
• Identify and manage project risks and issues and escalates any that may impact delivery
• Facilitate creation, review and stakeholder acceptance of project management products and deliverables
• Lead change management associated with the delivery of projects
• Effective transition of new products or services into the business-as usual environment.
Location: Canberra, ACT, Hobart, TAS, Melbourne, VIC, Adelaide, SA, Perth, WA, Brisbane, QLD, Sydney, NSW, Geelong, VIC.
Salary: AU$105k - AU$114k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:
Essential
• Demonstrated experience with a minimum of 12 months in project management within the ICT sector including management of multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated success in delivering projects to scope, budget, schedule, and stakeholder expectation
• Displays effective communication skills with all staff, clients, and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration and enhancement of CSIRO’s productivity and reputation.
• Experience working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary, often regionally dispersed team and business unit to carry out tasks in support of CSIRO objectives.
• Applies sound judgement in relation to resolving project delivery issues
Desirable
• Experience or formal training in project management associated with the delivery of major/complex projects; and
• Effective transition of new products or services into the business-as-usual environment.
