The Department of Teacher Education is part of the College of Education, Engineering, and Professional Studies and offers undergraduate teaching programs in art, early childhood education, elementary education, English, math, music, physical education, science, social studies, and Spanish and graduate programs in art education, curriculum & instruction, early childhood education (birth to age 8), early learning education (K-6), English education, foreign language education, health and physical education, instructional technology, linguistically diverse education, music education, space studies education, and special education. Teacher Education reflects the mission of the university by emphasizing the integration of technology across the curriculum and a commitment to excellence in serving a diverse student population. The program's conceptual framework, Building and Bridging Communities of Learners, has led to the development of a network of partner schools and outreach activities to regional school districts, as well as strong co-curricular activities for students and a co-teaching model of student teaching. The Assistant Professor will have the opportunity to become a member of a growing, vital program in teacher education. All programs in teacher education are accredited by the Colorado Department of Education and Colorado Commission on Higher Education.

The person selected for this position will teach education courses (undergraduate/graduate) with strong field experience components, supervise student teachers, advise students, participate in peer-reviewed scholarly activity, collaborate with PK-12 and university faculty in development of a standards and performance based teacher education program, and provide service to the community. The usual teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester, but up to three of those credit hours may be an equivalent amount of supervision of student teachers and/or M.Ed. candidates. Specific teaching responsibilities will be commensurate with candidate's qualifications, but may focus on the individual's specialization area(s). The successful candidate will be available for day and evening courses. This position is nine months with summer teaching additional.
All responsibilities of faculty members at CSU-Pueblo are in accordance with the Faculty Handbook. The Faculty Handbook is the authoritative guide on specific requirements with regard to teaching assignments, scholarly activity, research, and service.

Primary Duties
• Teach courses in Teacher Education at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Supervise student teachers and practicum students
• Advise Students
• Participate in peer-reviewed scholarly activity (publications, grants, etc.)
• Collaborate with faculty in assessment, recruitment, and retention activities of the program
• Service to the college, university, and community

Minimum Qualifications
• "ABD" in area, with the expectation of completing a doctoral degree within a year of hire
• Educational training related to preparing future PK-12 teachers
• Hold or be eligible for a teaching license in a PK-12 content area
• ECE teaching experience
• Evidence of scholarly activity
Preferred Qualifications
• Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D)
• Educational training in early childhood education (ECE)
• PK-12 and higher ed. teaching experiences in ECE and other domains of education
• Demonstrated record of scholarly activity

• Drive athletic teams safely to their destination and back.
• Pre-trip inspections of Bus or Van.
• Check that tires are safe to drive and adequately filled with air.

• Make sure vehicles are clean and ready for departure.
Ancillary Duties

This person will work with the Director of Event Sales and Marketing, as well as members from the MCCR and Operations and Advancement Teams in order to build strategic activities and programs that will elevate the profile of the university and build up the Pueblo community.
• Execute our new shared vision by ensuring that CSU Pueblo: A) Remains accessible and affordable, B) Develops people, and C) Designs learning and support systems that support enhanced experiential education, soft skill development, and personalized advising and mentoring which will improve educational outcomes such as enrollment, retention, graduation, and career placement.
• Work collaboratively with MCCR, Operations & Advancement, Athletics, and other university departments to represent them at various community events.
• Elevate the profile of CSU Pueblo through various community interactions and connect the community back to campus.

Primary Duties
Community Engagement
• Build upon existing relationships as well as create new community partners to maximize visibility for the university in the southern Colorado.
• Oversee community requests for event sponsorships, silent auction items, and presence of CSU Pueblo in a variety of community events.
• Visibly represent the university at a variety of strategic engagement events including the Colorado State Fair, chamber of commerce, and other important community festivals and outreach events.

Event Support
• Support MCCR and Operations and Advancement with establishing campus-wide engagement activities as well as programs designed for stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and geographic locations.
• Support athletics department with events throughout the year including homecoming and major awards.
• Provide logistical and planning support for homecoming events, convocation, and commencement ceremonies.
• Serve as a liaison connecting the community to campus for internal and external events
• Work with Admissions to provide outreach materials and support for various campus activities and events on and off campus
Operations and Advancement Support
• Assist with CSU Pueblo Operations and Advancement projects and events

Salary Range:

• Bachelor’s Degree

The Colorado State University Pueblo Homeland Security Studies Program prepares students for careers in federal, state, and local government, with a focus on, but not limited to: law enforcement; military; intelligence; and emergency response. Primary Duties
Perform accounting and financial duties to include (but not limited to) examining, interpreting and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports as well as identifying and implementing corrective actions to ensure conformity with university policies and federal/state laws, rules and regulations. Assist the OFM team with year-end close procedures as needed.

Assist the Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships (VPASP) in coordinating budget development, monitoring accounts, and providing recommendations for corrective actions to ensure budgets are not exceeded. Provide cost benefit analyses of programs to identify, develop, implement, and maintain solutions to financial issues. Work closely with the VPASP and the university’s Business Financial Services team to build and manage annual athletic department budgets, including E&G funding, student fees, fund raising and other revenue streams.

Prepare reports and present financial analyses data and statistics; research, develop, implement, and revise accounting systems to strengthen internal controls and promote fiscal responsibility. Provide technical, financial and accounting assistance for the unit/division. Complete all applicable RMAC, NCAA, Equity and Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) and financial documents or other University, city, state, Federal reports as required. Monitor business operations and provide oversight and day-to-day entries and management of all athletic budgets and financial operations, including planning, developing, managing and tracking all athletic program budgets.

Collaborate with Ticket Office, External Relations, Facility Rental Agreements, Summer Camps, Clinics, and other related departments to coordinate budgets and business operations. Approve accounts payable transactions, assist with processing cash receipts and recording revenue, review departmental expense reports and receipts, and manage and coordinate fiscal operations and departmental events. Attend monthly Head Coaches meetings and provide important budget information for coaches and staff.

Assist coaches with setting up Travel Expense Management (TEM) for recruits. Gather all travel and procurement card applications from coaches. Maintain departmental travel card balances. Aid coaches with reconciling travel and procurement cards. Administrate sales tax collection from coaches.

Assist internal auditors in reconciling financial records. Ensure all accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.

Ancillary Duties:
Facilitate annual seminars for Athletics Department staff to educate them on budgeting and provide guidance to coaches on budget management. Collaborate with Office of Financial Management when Athletics staff encounter difficulties with KFS training. Provide backup support by entering DV’s, requisitions, small dollar contracts and performance contracts. Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

The Admissions Counselor is an integral member of the student recruitment team. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: develop and facilitate on- and off-campus programs for first-year students; provide counseling on the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their parents; participate in recruitment activities and visits to Colorado high schools and select out-of-state high schools; maintain positive relationships with secondary school personnel; assist in making admission decisions for first-year students; recruit and assist transfer students with admission within primary territory; and assist in the development of communication plans and recruitment publications.

Primary Duties
Recruits new students to the University by participating in recruitment activities and visits to Colorado high schools and select out-of-state high schools. When required, undertakes travel and territory planning --including use of data to make informed decisions-- for successful completion of targeted recruitment.

Works to create and maintain a positive working relationship with high school counselors within assigned territories.

Assists with the first-year student recruitment planning process, including communication plan and publication development, as well as on-campus activities for first-year students and parents.

Provides counseling on the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their parents.

Contributes to additional functions in the Admissions Office and the Visitor Center, and assists in other aspects for recruitment as required, to include backup support for the Call Center.

The Degree Analyst I will develop and maintain Institutional and Statewide Transfer Guides. This position will also be responsible for special projects as assigned. This position will create, revise, and maintain the Degree Analyst I policy and procedure manuals. The Degree Analyst I promotes CSU Pueblo to prospective students and community members by providing excellent customer service, knowledge of programs, and transfer articulation rules.

The Degree Analyst I is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of potential graduate records through verifying the accuracy of students' transcripts, such as majors, minors, repeated courses, remedial courses, academic renewal and credits over 10 years. Utilizing university catalogs and CSU Pueblo's degree audit system, the Degree Analyst I verifies the accuracy of potential graduate records for the satisfactory completion of degree requirements. This position will also assist with training, interpretation, and processing of degree audits, exceptions, and catalog/degree requirements. The Degree Analyst I may assist the student and/or the academic advisor in establishing a correct plan of action for completion of degree programs. This position carefully balances the student's desire to graduate and the University's need to maintain institutional standards.

Primary Duties
Complete transfer evaluations for students with domestic transcripts to includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Research the accreditation, grading system, course level, and degree program contexts for each institution from which a domestic course is being evaluated.
• Build articulation rules to accurately reflect transferable courses using written procedures and guidelines.
• Evaluate and produce transfer articulation reports for students within an acceptable timeframe.
• Export student transfer evaluation from degree audit system to student information system and post credits on students' transcripts ensuring accuracy at each step in the process.
• Research and maintain transfer articulation rule database with appropriate consultation of department chairs and/or Deans through a scheduled maintenance calendar.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of degree programs, including requirements, curriculum, policies and procedures, student and faculty accomplishments, and general knowledge about CSU Pueblo.
• Meet with prospective and current students, faculty and staff, and transfer institutions to provide accurate, detailed information regarding CSU Pueblo, the transfer process, and transfer credit.
Complete degree audits to include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Audit the accuracy of undergraduate and graduate contracts for institutional, major, and minor requirements.
• Notify students of any deficiencies or discrepancies with the contract and conferral. If a student does not meet degree requirements, provide notification of the deficiencies with complete consideration given to successful resolution of degree conferral.
• Upon verifying all requirements being successfully completed, post the degree to the student transcript and process the diploma.
Process substitutions, exceptions, paper petitions, and waivers within degree audit system and the student information system. Ensure accuracy of both demographic information and academic transcript information in student information system and degree audit reporting system.

Perform other duties related to Degree Analyst I position to include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Provide training regarding academic and graduation requirements, and the degree audit system, for students, faculty, and staff.
• Help to encode, test, and run the all aspects of the degree audit reporting system software
• Troubleshoot and provide solution of issues within degree audit system.
• Assist in the process to propose new transfer procedures and coordinate the implementation process for approved procedures and policies based on the university catalog.
• Work with the academic community to design efficient and effective transfer and degree conferral tools, processes, and products.
• Facilitate communication with ITS team and the processes between student information system, external software programs, and document imaging system when needed.
• Perform periodic systematic review of transfer rules, including annual review of Colorado GT Pathways, Advanced Placement, CLEP, International Baccalaureate, and DANTES for new courses and update University Catalog to reflect changes.
• Maintain transfer guides for CSU Pueblo.
• Manage and supervise student employees, as needed.
• Run various student information system reports and degree audit system reports.
• Research student archives to determine if a degree was conferred. If not, work with the student, staff, and faculty to create a plan for degree completion.
• Contribute to additional functions within the Registrar's Office, including customer service. Serve as backup to Registrar Office front desk.
