Role Summary...

Independently conducts advanced data management and reporting assignments. Leverages comprehensive knowledge of life cycle data analysis. Advocates data standards within cross-functional teams to ensure data are regarded as accurate, timely, reliable, and trusted by business stakeholders. Serves as the primary point of contact for management of complex data sets and related data requests. Also serves as point of contact and participates in data governance discussions that span across the business unit.

Responsibilities:
• Acts as a consultant to the business on complex data and reporting requests. Ensures that data reporting and analyses provided to internal clients and stakeholders are done in a timely manner and are of the highest level of quality. Provides analysis and recommendations for current and future needs, which minimize redundancy and maximize compatibility of data within and across the business unit. Escalates data protection/privacy issues as necessary. Provides guidance on data issues identified by more junior professionals.
• Implements processes and controls for the creation, consumption, assimilation, and/or destruction of data. Contributes to cross-functional projects. Ensures project goals are in line with data management goals in terms of data and reporting needs. Partners with internal stakeholders to translate complex definitions and content to ensure model and reporting adoption.
• Administers the testing of new systems and contributes to system development. Leads investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine enhancement feasibility and implications for data accuracy. Makes recommendations to more senior professionals based on findings.
• Performs data curation and governance activities, including developing and supporting technical workflows, developing operational data management reports and metrics, enhancing existing models, and building and supporting frameworks and processes. Trains junior professionals and support staff to understand the data and data management operational processes.
• Proactively monitors and manages complex data sets. Implements and executes data quality and maintenance programs in alignment with T. Rowe Price policies and procedures. Evangelizes best practices for the business.

Qualifications:

Required:
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
• 5+ years of total relevant work experience

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.

About the Professional Services, Engineer (Associate Data Solutions) role:

OpenGov seeks to expand its proven Professional Services (PS) team with an experienced delivery specialist for data integrations. The PS team is focused on making our customers wildly successful. The Associate Data Solutions Engineer will be responsible for driving successful customer data integration implementations from start to finish, including database schema management, configuring ETL tools, and scripting, as required, to enable customers to maximize their OpenGov value.

As a trusted advisor with deep database expertise and data migrations expertise, the Associate Data Solutions Engineer will understand the customer’s goals, pain points, and workflows. OpenGov is seeking an experienced specialist with great customer interaction skills and strong technical acumen in databases, programming, and modern analytics platforms.

Associate Data Solutions Engineer Responsibilities:

• Be a technical point of contact for new customer integrations or those expanding to implement additional functionality
• Perform new integrations implementations from start to finish
• Confirm customer requirements and needs and provide guidance, assistance, and support to customers in the integrations solution
• Interact directly with government Finance, Budget Directors, and IT personnel daily and guide them through the integrations process
• Identify customer pain points and partner with cross-functional teams to simplify, enhance and automate existing processes that will improve customer workflow
• Work closely with the Project Management, Customer Success Management, and Integration teams to facilitate and drive a consistent customer experience and ensure successful projects for customers

This is a remote opportunity that can be performed within Continental United States.

• Full stack knowledge of technologies in Azure Gov is a plus

• Ability to be analytical and systematic whilst being open-minded and creative.
• Able to base decisions on facts rather than emotions, and always using logic.
• Ability to design an efficient way of processing high volumes of data where a group of transactions is collected over a period of time

To qualify for the role, you must have

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $83,000 to $150,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $99,600 to $171,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
