Customer Service Representative
Location: On-site in Piscataway, NJ
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Initial point of contact for regional and targeted accounts. Resolves moderately complex issues, escalating to higher levels of Customer Service as required. Manages customer complaints in a professional manner. Resolves issues with established guidelines. Owns all order management for accounts. Works closely with cross functional teams to ensure best-in-class customer service experience. Provides support to sales as needed, while supporting all internal teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Process and manage orders for local and regional accounts

• Support Sales and Regional CS Team
• Management of incoming Digital Support Queue via Phones and Web
• Customer Complaints – Managing process

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma
• Proven CS Experience – Minimum of 3 years Customer Service experience in office environment
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work under limited supervision for routine situations
• Possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Substantial experience in over-the-phone troubleshooting and customer conflict resolution,
• Expected to have the business understanding to drive improvements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
• Assist in training lower level and/or newly hired team members
• Must be able to satisfy pre-employment testing
PREFERENCES:
• Associates Degree in business or related field preferred

As a Quality Assurance Technician I, you will be responsible for performing daily quality activities in the plant which includes but not limited to process audit, GMP audits, various in process or laboratory testing to ensure every ingredient and finished good meet product specifications. The Quality Technician is responsible for identifying quality issues, reporting them to the appropriate person and initiating the corrective action process.

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English to follow safety precautions
• 1 years of experience and/or equivalent education in supporting plants and assessing the effectiveness of plant quality and food safety programs
• Knowledge of basic lab equipment such as water activity, viscometers, etc
• Basic math, record keeping and computer skills
What You'll Do as a Quality Assurance Technician I
• Monitors and inspects and tests the products in process or in the lab. Ensures the products meet all specifications. Records all information and reports any discrepancies.
• Monitors and checks the calibration of measuring equipment and the operation of metal detectors to ensure proper operation. Reports any problems immediately.
• Performs formula audits and process audits, documents audit results.
• Monitors adherence to all food safety and quality programs including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices and the Food Safety Plan. Reports any problems to the appropriate Lead/Supervisor.
• Promotes and facilitates safe work practices at all times.
• Takes appropriate actions to ensure the safety of all Dawn team members.
• Performs environmental swabbing as per the schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Assists in the investigation of out of compliance products
• Create a safe work environment by embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive environment where all team members are treated equally and with respect
• Must be able to work in an environment where various allergens, including, but not limited to nuts, are received as shipments, mixed in ingredients, used as toppings, or baked into product. This will fluctuate based on business need.

Job Purpose and Overview
Leads, develops, and implements the plant continuous improvement strategy and initiatives to drive cost reduction, eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, reduce product defects, and increase market share using lean methodology and tools.

What will you do as a Continuous Improvement Specialist at Dawn Foods?
• Develop, manage, and facilitate the Continuous Improvement initiatives and strategy for the plant.
• Lead the rollout of automated data collection and loss analysis to help the plant identify top losses and eliminate waste.
• Act as a Lean transformation leader and Kaizen coach that can provide in-depth knowledge of rapid improvement methodologies with tools acquired through hands-on implementation.
• Organize and facilitate cross-functions ideations and value-stream mapping workshops.
• Support daily directions setting tier meetings and floor huddles.
• Drive a continuous improvement culture with a focus on prioritizing top opportunities and using DMAIC problem solving to eliminate issues permanently.
• Ability to coach and train team members, supervisors, and management.
• Ensure sustainability of past CI projects and focus on standardization and adoption of improved processes.
• Manage cost savings process for the plant and help keep other project owners on-track.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process management, operations, industrial engineering, or engineering management or equivalent experience. Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, warehousing, and/or engineering or other related supply chain field with at least 2 years owning continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Relevant experience in the manufacturing of food and/or bakery products is preferred.
• Requires excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Requires analytical problem-solving skills, time management skills, and advanced skills in the use of data management tools to monitor progress toward goals.

Job Purpose and Overview
Leads, develops, and implements the plant continuous improvement strategy and initiatives to drive cost reduction, eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, reduce product defects, and increase market share using lean methodology and tools.
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm must be flexible and work some weekends when necessary
What will you do as a Continuous Improvement Specialist at Dawn Foods?
• Develop, manage, and facilitate the Continuous Improvement initiatives and strategy for the plant.
• Lead the rollout of automated data collection and loss analysis to help the plant identify top losses and eliminate waste.
• Act as a Lean transformation leader and Kaizen coach that can provide in-depth knowledge of rapid improvement methodologies with tools acquired through hands-on implementation.
• Organize and facilitate cross-functions ideations and value-stream mapping workshops.
• Support daily directions setting tier meetings and floor huddles.
• Drive a continuous improvement culture with a focus on prioritizing top opportunities and using DMAIC problem solving to eliminate issues permanently.
• Ability to coach and train team members, supervisors, and management.
• Ensure sustainability of past CI projects and focus on standardization and adoption of improved processes.
• Manage cost savings process for the plant and help keep other project owners on-track.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for long-term, sustainable cost reduction initiatives, including investments in tools and infrastructure that provide automated reporting and/or supplier collaboration.
• Leverages lean skills, tools, and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and methods to improve.
• Understands and promotes the philosophies and policies of Dawn Food Products, Inc. Supports the Circle of Excellence, and the Dawn Philosophy of Team Dawn.
What Does It Take to be a Continuous Improvement Specialist at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process management, operations, industrial engineering, or engineering management or equivalent experience. Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, warehousing, and/or engineering or other related supply chain field with at least 2 years owning continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Relevant experience in the manufacturing of food and/or bakery products is preferred.
• Requires excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Requires analytical problem-solving skills, time management skills, and advanced skills in the use of data management tools to monitor progress toward goals.
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong ability to lead change.
• Strong ability to influence others without direct authority to seek and gain leadership alignment and activate resources to deliver to project commitments.
