ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for all accounting, payroll/benefits, and admin/contractual functions
• Record sub ledger transactions for Fixed Assets, AP, AR, Payroll and GL
• Balance and reconcile accounts; adjust and correct opening and closing entries
• Update, monitor and controll of cash flow forecast
• Responsible for A/R: invoicing and tracking payment as well as A/P: payments online or via check
• Prepare month end close, year close and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly internal reporting package and executive level reports
• Audit expenditures to ensure compliance with purchasing/accounting procedures
• Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal reports, including income statements, balance sheets, attendance reports, and reports on special fund expenditures and transactions
• Works with CPA firm to reconcile intercompany accounts quarterly and prepare reviewed financial statements annually
• Review estimates for sales quotes from a pricing perspective
• Prepare weekly sales order review and monthly gross margin analysis
• Prepare the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts
• Maintain cost records in accordance with US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and works with the DCMA Auditors
• Responsible for all function of bi weekly payroll, including timekeeping and payroll taxes
• Administer benefits to include setting up new employees, making changes and coordinating open enrollment for existing benefits package
• Osha record keeping and annual reporting as well as workers compensation
• Review legal agreements and NDA’s
• Support the Sales Team with filling Reps and Certs (DFAR knowledge a must)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelor's or Master degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 10 years’ experience in hands-on accounting
• Proficient in US GAAP accounting a must
• CPA or CMA certification is desirable
• Knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques, and principles
• Skilled in analyzing and interpreting financial data
• Must assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product
• Requires experience with US FAR and DCMA Cost Analysis
• Experience with manufacturing and defense cost accounting
• Sarbanes-Oxley experience a must
• Requires to be highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel
• ERP systems experience a must – M2M knowledge a plus
• Ability to work with highly confidential information
• Requires excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated management and organizational skills
• Strong multi-tasker and comfortable in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrates competence in all office procedures
