Job Description:

• Act as a liaison between the department and the campus community on various building and grounds. initiatives, ensuring effective communication.
• Provide various reports and statistical analysis to the Physical Plant Director, VP for Business and Finance and others, as requested.
• Take a leadership role to ensuring that all governing regulations are identified and incorporated into daily operations.
• Collaborate with VP for Operations and Assist Director of Capital Construction with planning, oversight, and management of capital construction projects.
Requirements:
• Associate degree in Construction Technology, Carpentry, or related area field
• Five years' experience working in a skilled trade position.
• Experience with facilities maintenance in a larger organization.
• 1 Year Experience Supervising multiple trades.
• Valid unrestricted NYS driver's license

• Work closely with the AVP for Operations and Assistant Director for Capital Construction in planning maintenance and operational initiatives associated with new construction projects and major renovations.
• Coordinate scheduling of maintenance and renovation activities to maximize personnel resources and minimize downtime and disruptions to campus.
• Supervise and evaluate the work of assigned staff; using a work-order system to assign work and evaluate work performance per union agreements.
• Assist in furthering the mission, and developing short and long-term goals, for the facilities maintenance department.
• Act as a liaison between the department and the campus community on various building and grounds. initiatives, ensuring effective communication.
• Provide various reports and statistical analysis to the Physical Plant Director, VP for Business and Finance and others, as requested.
