About The Role

As a Design Lead on the Core Doodles team, you’ll be working alongside product, creative, and engineering teams to design delightful and brand-consistent UIs for our digital experiences. This role is highly collaborative and creative, so get ready to work with some of the best and brightest animators, illustrators, and other creative minds in the industry!

What You’ll Do
• Execute at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery, and ensure a delightful user experience is achieved for our users.
• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements and business objectives as they relate to the design and user experience of the product.
• Assist during the product planning and development process by creating user experience design deliverables and artifacts when appropriate.

As a Brand Designer, you will report to the Sr. Design Manager, PBNA Innovation, partnering on the design and execution of comprehensive programs for brands within North America Beverage portfolio. In this innovation role, you will be given the opportunity to build upon existing capabilities as well as broaden your functional expertise as you drive our Beverage brands through all consumer touchpoints. Key Accountabilities:
• Brand Design Development: Support the visual identity for specific brands in the portfolio, working in partnership with the Design leader, collaborating with design peers, marketing partners and other cross-functional teams, cutting across brand, product, packaging, marketing, and advertising.
• Generates creative design proposals (visions, scenarios, concepts) to visualize the desired output and share it with internal and external team members.
• Participates in research activities and effectively translates customer needs into actionable design requirements.
• Execute those requirements into innovative design solutions.
• Responsible for driving to final design recommendations, decisions, and design approval to enable artwork execution / production phases.
• Ensure thorough consideration of all project variables and that the final solution will perform as planned.

Compensation and Benefits:
• The expected compensation range for this position is between $67,800 - $113,550 based on a full-time schedule
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 5% paid out Annually

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to join our team as our first Director of Design. Salary

When we find the right person, we try to put our best foot forward with an offer that excites you and is fair on our end. The base compensation amount for this role is targeted at $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 USD annually. The final offer also takes into account other factors of a total compensation package. Working in a highly... collaborative studio setting, this role supports the Graphic Design team and works on projects in all stages of the design process to support overall attendance and revenue goals, improve the visitors experience, and expand upon the Museum’s design language across all visitor touch points.

The Graphic Design team is part of the Museum’s The Engagement division, a multi-faceted team—including staff in digital communications, graphic design, marketing, merchandising, public relations, and visitor experience—that is responsible for leading the institution’s audience engagement strategy with a focus on digital initiatives.

Qualifications:
• BFA or MFA in graphic design or related field and 3-5 years of professional work experience in graphic design or a related field
• Advanced skill set in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of brand systems
• Dynamic use of typography, grids, layout, color, shape, and imagery in both 2D and 3D
• Familiarity with production methods such as: vinyl graphic applications
(both cut lettering and large-scale murals), silk-screening, banners, laser cutting
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail while being a creative thinker and having the ability to work both within and without guidelines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to take direction, to receive feedback, and to execute accordingly
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing project types and requirements
• Being up to date on current trends in design, art, culture, and technology
• Fantastic organizational skills are a must
• Passion for art a plus

Responsibilities:
• Evolve and expand the Museum’s visual identity and promotional strategy in collaboration with the Senior Graphic Designer and Director of Graphic Design
• Design and conceptualize bespoke graphic identities for 3 to 5 exhibitions per year, working closely with curators and executive level staff, and managing all aspects of production and installation.
• Work closely with the Design and Marketing teams in developing creative for campaigns to support Museum-wide marketing and communications goals.
• Works closely with Director of Graphic Design to steward the presentation of Brooklyn Museum’s brand across all channels.
• Ensure projects are well-executed according to the design vision by preparing files, defining specifications, managing timeline and production of assigned projects with various vendors.
• Articulate design ideas to internal shop teams and cultivate collaborative relationships on projects.
• Works cross-functionally and collaborates with key partners in internal and external teams as well as external agencies and freelancers. Creates presentations and other review materials as needed.
• Take responsibility to meet deadlines and be punctual.
• Oversee and mentor junior graphic designers and interns as needed.
• Expedites and troubleshoots all project-related issues needing immediate attention.

The Director of Product Design will involve leading the design team in researching, planning, designing, and working alongside our technology team to implement new products, features and functionality that provide value to our users/customers.

Scope of Responsibilities
• Lead the product design team ensuring usability and cohesiveness across the suite of customer experiences
• Design and specify user journeys, use cases, and interfaces – using participatory and iterative design methods including, but not limited to, user research, contextual interviews and usability testing
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Develop UI mockups, wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes through feedback from internal and external stakeholdersIdentify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Advocate on behalf of the customer’s best interest when it comes to decisions for new and updated features and products
• Iterative approach to all phases of design

About You
• Minimum 8+ years experience as a Product Designer with experience across UX, UI, Visual Design and User Research
• Leadership Experience: You have experience leading designers and aligning teams a shared strategy. You define and take responsibility for outcomes. You communicate and influence at all levels within the organization
• Previous experience collaborating with engineers in developing rich usable and functional experiences. You are well-versed at discussing trade-offs to ensure delivery and impact
• Strategic: You can craft a coherent design vision and the steps to building towards the vision
