Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of production for DTC, festival and wholesale channels of business. Develop and creatively source all Liquid Death merchandise (multiple categories) with speed and premium quality in mind. Spearhead weekly progress meetings with vendors, manage WIP and effectively communicate issues or risks that may arise. Maintain accurate production calendar, purchasing, scheduling and inventory control for raw and finished goods with all vendors. Coordinate and track timely receipt of PP/TOP samples. Manage the quality assurance and approval process. Drive weekly cross functional meetings covering pre-production and production deliverables updating pertinent internal departments with order progress, changing lead times and back-orders, bringing creative solutions to the table when confronted with delays. Cultivate vendor relationships daily to ensure key partnerships for future growth. Source and onboard new vendors as needed. Oversee vendor shipments and confirm warehouse receipts. Above average strength, endurance, and agility are needed due to the nature of the work, as the positions require hiking and climbing, as well as the ability to lift, drag and haul heavy objects and dead bodies weighing as much as 300 pounds or more to remove them from the scene of death using acceptable removal techniques.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

At the time of appointment, applicants must:
1) Be fingerprinted and pass an intensive background investigation, which will include a drug test, polygraph and psychological evaluation; must not have been convicted of a felony.
2) Meet California P.O.S.T. Commission approved peace officer standards, requiring above average strength, endurance, and agility.
3) Be available to work anywhere in the County and to work various shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as on-call/standby as needed.
4) Possess a valid California Class C driver license and show proof of automobile liability insurance.

Incumbents must:
5) Possess and maintain a certificate or successfully complete a California P.O.S.T. basic Coroner's Academy/Death Investigation Course within one (1) year of hire.
6) Possess a P.C. 832 certificate (Laws of arrest, search and seizure) or successfully complete by the end of the probationary period.

Qualifying experience must have been obtained within the last five (5) years.

Must meet one of the following options:

Option A: One (1) year of full-time experience as an investigator at a Medical Examiner/Coroner or other law enforcement agency in any of the following capacities: Deputy Coroner Investigator, Medical Examiner Investigator, Deputy Sheriff, Police Officer, Deputy Marshal, or District Attorney Investigator.

Option B: Two (2) years of full-time experience as an Autopsy Assistant assisting with autopsies in a forensic pathology setting.

Option C: Two (2) years of embalming experience as a Licensed Embalmer with a current California Embalmer License.

Option D: Two (2) years of full-time experience with primary responsibility for processing crime scenes in the field or investigating in-patient deaths/delayed reportable deaths or unidentified persons investigations for a law enforcement agency, including the identification and collection of all pertinent physical evidence.

Option E: Two (2) years as a member of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Coroner Division autopsy assistant internship/volunteer program which includes a minimum of 120 morgue hours. Letter indicating volunteer membership and completion of morgue hours must be submitted with the application. An excellent candidate understands this position deals with highly sensitive issues, requiring empathy and organizational skills. This ideal candidate will successfully pass an in-depth background investigation and is aware that this position requires working various shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Experience in a California Coroner's or Medial Examiner's Office is highly desirable.

Join our team of dedicated Medical Examiners, within our N.A.M.E. accredited and state-of-the-art Medical Examiner's office.

Medical Examiners in Maricopa County are charged by state statute with directing death investigations involving cases in the public interest, including those affecting the criminal justice and public health systems. Successful applicants will be expected to direct medicolegal death investigations and perform postmortem examinations in compliance with the National Association of Medical Examiners (N.A.M.E.) Forensic Autopsy Standards, document findings in narrative reports, take overnight calls from investigations staff, and offer objective consultation and/or court testimony to outside agencies, including criminal court officials and law enforcement.

Our Medical Examiners are assigned dedicated days for on-call coverage, exams, completing paperwork and court testimony, and teleworking.

We Require
• Graduation from an approved school of Medicine or Osteopathy

• *JOB SUMMARY:**

In your pivotal and rewarding role as Death Certificate Specialist, you will serve as the liaison between physicians, families, funeral homes, and the State Vital Records office for the certification of Death Certificates. You will use data gathered from patient demographics, family, and funeral home to transfer required information into the state Death Certificate system. You will be responsible to respond to requests for and coordinate the production of Death Certificate. You will be responsible to respond to requests for and coordinate the production of medical record documentation related to deaths within the medical center.
• *DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:**

Decedent Affairs is the designated point of contact for ongoing questions or concerns following the death of a patient. All of the technical and business aspects of reporting a death are handled by this office.

We verify that all documentation is complete and coordinate the appropriate disposition for every deceased patient on a 24/7 basis. We are available to families and staff to answer questions they have following a death.

We work with both internal departments and external agencies to assure all documentation and actions are complete prior to release of a deceased patient.
• *POSITION SHIFT:**

Day shift 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM - (4) x 9 hour shifts; every other weekend required & rotating holidays.

• *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Processes Death Certificate information and fetal Death reports to state independently

+ Analyzes clinical documentation and abstracts all necessary data points needed to comply with regulatory requirements

+ Interviews next of kin for death certificate information requirements

+ Transfers all required information into the state Death Certificate system (VRISM)

+ Assigns Death Certificate to the designated physician for certification

+ Serves as Liaison between Funeral Home, Vital Records Office, and physician for Death Certificate certification

+ Completes affidavit for Death Certificate amendments as a qualified notary public for the State of Tennessee

+ Updates names of deceased in the registration systems to reflect information gathered from the medical record, patient identification, or government agency

+ Updates patient status in medical record.

+ Answer DA office phone and return calls as needed, scan documents, return emails

High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and 3 years relevant experience
