In this part-time, year-round role as Digital Media Coordinator, you’ll work directly with the Cedar Point Communications Team to enhance and create compelling stories to share to a diverse range of audiences. You’ll enterprise content from concept to completion, ensuring brand and visual standards are met, and collaborate closely with colleagues to determine stories and content that... are worthy of inclusion.

You’ll bring story ideas to the table, take other’s ideas to the next level and create engaging content that will appeal to a wide audience. You’ll write, shoot and edit this content and contribute to the park’s daily messaging campaigns.

The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented self-starter both behind the camera and in the edit suite, who can keep Cedar Point’s business goals and mission in mind when making decisions. The successful team member understands how to tailor the story to different platforms, including social media, mobile app, website and earned media.

How You'll Make A Difference:
• Regularly meet and collaborate with the Cedar Point Communications Team to ideate and plan meaningful and FUN content to be shared across multiple platforms.
• Capture stunning photos and captivating video utilizing various multimedia equipment including DSLR cameras and GoPros.
• Assist with on-site park initiatives, including media previews, signature events and product launches.
• Support all asset gathering and editing for Cedar Point Resorts properties, including Hotel Breakers, Lighthouse Point, Castaway Bay, Express Hotel and Sawmill Creek Resort.
• Edit and optimize assets including resizing and color correcting to deliver to appropriate medium.
• Plan, record and edit a wide variety of interviews for various projects.

We're Looking For:
• College graduate with 2+ years of experience in photography and videography.
• Deep and extensive experience using the full Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Full working knowledge of audio and lighting equipment, including the principles and standards associated with each.
• Excellent planning, collaboration and organizational skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law

This role will... develop the strategy and playbook to enable Cox's local market teams and partners to drive adoption of our programs and to ensure customers have the tools they need to succeed. This work will complement the traditional marketing tactics and existing grassroots work which have been instrumental in increasing adoption of our digital equity programs.

Additionally, this role will be the main interface with our field teams (Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Market leaders and more), driving activity to meet our connect goals, and ensuring they have the strategy and tools they need to increase government official and influencer awareness of Cox's commitment in this space. Additionally, this role will work closely with our Commercial Division teams and our Market Expansion groups to ensure Cox's commitment in this space is represented and integrated into RFP's and other opportunities.

Lastly, working with Cox's Washington DC team, this leader will be responsible for understanding and influencing policy related to government programs in this space.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
• Develop strategy, roadmap, and playbook for grassroots and local activation programs to drive internet adoption of Cox's Affordability & Digital Equity initiatives. Continue to refine and grow based on lessons learned, partner feedback, best practices, and research. Develop business cases to justify investment and prioritization
• Use research to drive decisions and strategy; identify new research and insights needed
• Primary interface for field teams, providing leadership and support to ensure high awareness of performance, opportunities, and strategy; Partner closely with Cox's Public Affairs team who are critical partners for program success
• Develop goals for local teams, track, communicate and drive teams to exceed; Measure and evaluate success
• Empower Cox's partners with the tools and insights they need to help drive impact, including analytical data. Ensure Cox's partner portal, a single site for partners to directly access information and tools is optimized; develop partner facing "manual" to guide partners on how to partner with Cox to drive digital equity.
• Work cross functionally to ensure tools and resources needed to empower successful growth in this area are prioritized and developed by boundary partners
• Empower Cox employees, our greatest asset, with information and tools to drive adoption in their community
• Foster existing national partnerships, and develop new partnerships using a strategic evaluation process to help drive an even bigger impact
• Identify customer education needs, work with cross functional teams to prioritize and implement
• "Go to" expert on Cox's competitive position and the overall industry and regulatory landscape for low-income broadband adoption and closing the digital divide. Monitor developments within the industry, and with partners and peers.
• Take leadership role in commercial business and market expansion opportunities related to digital equity including providing guidance in RFP's and Cox's 3rd party subsidization programs.
• Develop executive level presentations to effectively communicate strategy, performance, and landscape

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field (Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Public Affairs, Non-Profit, Business, Consulting). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12years'experience in a related field
• Experience leading cross functional teams, developing holistic program strategy and gaining support throughout a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills. Proven ability to make connections across data and analytics coming from quantitative and qualitative sources to glean key insights that help drive business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex ideas and data to communicate a story and vision clearly and concisely to executive audiences.
• Excellent leadership, verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, project management, organization, time management, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, with prior experience delivering effective executive-level communications via PowerPoint, email and verbally.

Preferred
• BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired
• MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
• Experience working on complex business cases and determining/validating key assumptions
• Nonprofit and grassroots experience; either directly or indirectly
• Strong financial acumen and analytical experience - segmentation, opportunity sizing, forecasting, variance analysis
