JOB OVERVIEW
Under supervision, the Distance Learning Specialist records and edits on-demand events, videos, podcasts, and other educational resources housed in the ACGME’s online learning portal, Learn at ACGME. The Distance Learning Specialist is also responsible for managing resources within Learn at ACGME, including key performance indicator and other reports, as well as for monitoring learner/faculty member needs and maintaining Learn’s content-based microsites.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitates live distance learning events, such as webinars, livestreams, and video conferences presentations.
• Assists subject matter experts with adapting presentational and instructional material for distance delivery.
• Develops resources for subject matter experts on how to use live event and supporting technology (e.g., Intrado, Zoom, Vimeo Live, Learn at ACGME).
• Provides media/event design and troubleshooting expertise during pre-production and delivery.
• Manages asynchronous distance learning resources, such as on-demand webcasts, asynchronous courses, and community fora in Learn at ACGME.
• Manages data within and responds to technical support requests regarding the Direct Observation of Clinical Care (DOCC) and AWARE apps, podcasts, and other distance learning resources.
• Develops reports on use of the Office of Distance Learning’s systems (Learn at ACGME, LibSyn podcast platform, Intrado), including key performance indicators.
• Collaboratively creates online courses, videos, podcasts, and other multimedia for the Office of Distance Learning.
• Participates in the team-based design process, including scripting, storyboarding, quality assurance, and other pre- and post-production activities.
• Assists in development of online courses, for a, and content-/community-specific microsites for ACGME organizational initiatives.
• Records, reviews, and edits video, audio, and other multimedia produced by the Office of Distance Learning.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, media production, broadcast journalism, or a related field.
• Three years of experience in planning and delivering web-based broadcasts, webcasts, and/or livestreams.
• Three years of experience with a variety of audio and video production tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred
• Five years of experience with Adobe Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, and other elements of the Creative Suite
• Three years of experience with multiple online learning formats, including learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
• Three years of experience using HTML and web authoring tools (e.g., Articulate).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL SETS, AND ABILITIES
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated history of working in close collaboration with diverse teams.
• Ability to clearly and concisely deliver information.
• Ability to work with and present to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• A customer-oriented approach to communications.
• Strong editing skills, with consistent accuracy.
• Superior organizational and workflow management skills, as well as proven project management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines, as well as to balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
