EarthCam is looking for a hands on Research and Development/Embedded Systems Manager to join our growing organization.
The research and Development Manager will have to use creative abilities and research methods to improve existing products based on industry trends and develop new products to meet the needs of the company's target market.
Responsibilities of an R&D Manager include:
Ø Lead key projects with R&D to support business goals.
Ø Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.
Ø Manage, mentor and grow the team including hiring and developing R&D personnel.
Ø Monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring meeting of goals.
Ø Contribute to software-related projects involving camera back-end functionality
Ø Work with the engineering team to develop new products/services and improve existing ones
Ø Create and maintain embedded code for Network Camera Systems
Ø Create and update embedded code for ARM Processor-based systems
Ø Understand customer expectations on to-be manufactured products.
Ø Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
Ø Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment.
Ø Suggest training tools to enhance employee performance and skill development.
Ø Document all phases of research and development.
Ø Ongoing maintenance of software for camera configurations and profiles
Ø Manage customer relationships and perform RFP reviews, customer visits, and product testing.
Ø Establish and maintain testing procedures for assessing raw materials, in-process and finished products.
Ø Oversee complex research projects, analyze results and provide recommendations based on findings.
Ø Assess the scope of research projects and ensure they are on time and within budget.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ø Proven experience in a relevant role
Ø Excellent leadership and managerial skills
Ø A strong sense of creativity aids in the process of thinking of new product ideas and solving problems creatively.
Ø Hands-on experience in managing or leading a team of employees.
Ø Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
Ø At least 10 years of experience with Linux, C/C++, Bash
Ø Excellent computer proficiency
Ø In-depth understanding of networking
Ø Experience with embedded applications and toolchains
Ø Experience with ARM Microcontrollers
Ø Software debugging skills
Ø Perl and Python experience preferred
Ø Experience with communications protocols (I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-4) is a bonus

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Returns Associate to join our growing organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receive RMA return and thoroughly document in CRM/ERP system
• Maintain and update RMA ticket information in CRM software throughout repair process
• Inspect, analyze and recondition returned products
• Perform hardware rework and update SW/FW as required
• Coordinate with tech support to process RMA cross-ship requests
• Document and report RMA trends/repetitive problems to supervisor
• Maintain repair tools and machines
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Associate's degree in electronics/information technology preferred(or equivalent experience), Electronics Technical School acceptable
• Proficient with Windows Operating System and Windows Embedded OS
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Good experience in CRM software or similar ticketing system
• High energy and strong work ethic within a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
