We are seeking a strong Java backend engineer with hands-on experience architecting and building large scale distributed web applications.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.
$135,200 - $205,700
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an Indirect Tax Compliance (ITC) Accounting Manager to join the team.
Responsibilities
• Supporting the larger ITC team in the area of tax compliance and accounting while coordinating with regional, functional teams to ensure consistency and standardization of global processes.
• Review of consolidated working papers supporting various global filings, including VAT filings for several EMEA entities and regions, Sales and Use tax filings for our U.S. operations, and various other, global, indirect tax obligations.
• Lead projects and implement new processes and controls in response to changes in the business environment, such as new tax requirements, changes in technology standards, and internal process changes.
• Leading the regular monthly close process as well as externally facing statutory reporting activities.
• Maintaining world-class reconciliations of all G/L accounts and integrity of financial statements at a transaction level.
• Supervising compliance related activities performed by various third-party support teams
Experience and Relevant Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA / ACCA, CIMA, JD is a plus.

• Experience leading projects, driving process improvements and operational efficiencies. Experience in automation technologies preferred.
• Strong organizational abilities and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver results.

The Apparel team is part of the Global Fashion Organization which also includes Clothing, Shoes, Accessories, Preloved & Outlet inventory. We partner with our global product & technology teams, and local marketing teams to develop, build and deliver a differentiated proposition.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of the Fashion Category to lead this growing area for eBay and play a pivotal role in owning and driving the growth for your area of the business. As part of the Fashion management team, you will create new and better ways for the organization to be successful, ensuring the focus is aligned with our goals and DNA.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop innovative programs and to implement growth strategies, manage seller behavior and maximize operational efficiency to position eBay as the best place for buyers to buy and sellers to sell excellent products
• Lead and develop the category, including strategy definition, operational cadences (insights, reporting, trading) and key relationships
• Identify and source relevant and market leading inventory to support execution of strategy and ensure eBay is the most competitive site to find great value
• Plan and execute cross-organizational projects to strengthen eBay’s competitiveness
• Own and cultivate the relationship with key sellers, brands, and retailers within the portfolio and in line with the category strategy
• Build, advance, and close a strong sales pipeline to acquire, grow and retain sellers, partners and brands selling on eBay
• Develop annual strategy and quarterly commercial plans
• Lead and influence in a matrix environment, building strong relationships with a range of internal teams including Finance, Marketing, Operations, Legal and People
• Grow and inspire the individuals in your team to successful drive business results whilst crafting a team environment of trust, collaboration, motivation, and fun
Requirements:
• A strong background in a digital B2C or C2C environment, ideally in e-commerce, or a consumer facing online platform, plus previous experience and / or a keen interest in Fashion, Shoes & Accessories, particularly in Preloved.
• Validated experience of budget / P&L ownership and delivery
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate clearly and simply. Ease with executive-level interactions - ability to distill complex business issues and strategies to highlight insights and measurable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner.
• Strong people leadership skills, confident in providing mentoring and leadership from junior to senior members of the team.
• Ability to articulate vision and purpose for the initiatives and programs as it relates to long-term goals and objectives
• Proven track record of strategic planning and execution, taking a project from idea to full implementation in a large complex organization
• Strong structured thinking and communication skills plus commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
• You will also have a sense of integrity, commercial agility, strategy, operational maturity, and accountability

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.
$144,000 - $216,150
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
