Job Description

The Global Selling Initiatives team plays a key interface between the Global Markets organization and the Global Product and Global Growth organizations by establishing the global seller value proposition and bringing it to life through close engagement with product, policy, customer service and marketing teams. Our team pushes eBay to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by completing efficiently, bringing solid business and customer sense and working effectively across organizational lines.

As the Director of Global C2C Selling, you will be a primary lead in articulating the global consumer seller strategy and programs to address the highest priority opportunities for the customers. You will build market and vertical expertise through deep collaboration with the regional and category teams to synthesize the business and customer opportunities to support the company’s strategy.

You and your team will partner with global product, marketing, monetization, policy and customer service teams to complete strategic programs, set OKRs for initiatives and projects, and create processes to drive ground-breaking consumer selling ecosystem success and improve our customer experiences and outcomes. You will own the creation and execution of the go-to-market strategy to ensure adoption and measure success.

What You’ll Do
• Strategy Definition and Prioritization: Identify the customer needs that are global in nature while bringing the regional differences together to create a clear view of the value proposition and prioritized strategy for eBay. Understand eBay’s strategic and competitive positioning to develop reasons, drive continuous improvement, and define product needs that meet the needs for the C2C Seller
• Benefit Quantification: Build the case for change using seller data, analysis of financial and operational metrics, and competitive benchmarking
• Roadmap Ownership: Develop and drive roadmaps across product, marketing and operations to deliver the capabilities our C2C Sellers need most through the planning process throughout the year and annually

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in software development using Java, SOAP, RESTful Web Services and Kotlin
• Strong experience in developing data-driven applications using an industry standard RDBMS, NoSQL, and ElasticSearch

$168,400 - $262,900

The Accounting team in Austin, Texas rolls up to the Shared Services Center which is in charge of accounting for more than 60 global entities (and growing). Working with our international accounting counterparts, we excel at maintaining the highest quality of accounting and compliance in our daily activities.

We are looking for an Indirect Tax Compliance (ITC) Accounting Manager to join the team.

Responsibilities
• Supporting the larger ITC team in the area of tax compliance and accounting while coordinating with regional, functional teams to ensure consistency and standardization of global processes.
• Review of consolidated working papers supporting various global filings, including VAT filings for several EMEA entities and regions, Sales and Use tax filings for our U.S. operations, and various other, global, indirect tax obligations.
• Lead projects and implement new processes and controls in response to changes in the business environment, such as new tax requirements, changes in technology standards, and internal process changes.
• Leading the regular monthly close process as well as externally facing statutory reporting activities.
• Maintaining world-class reconciliations of all G/L accounts and integrity of financial statements at a transaction level.

Experience and Relevant Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA / ACCA, CIMA, JD is a plus.
• 8+ years general ledger accounting and indirect tax compliance experience is required.
• Experience leading projects, driving process improvements and operational efficiencies. Experience in automation technologies preferred.
