Logistics Analyst

Lulu Press is looking for an experienced Logistics Analyst to join our Fulfillment Team. This role is an integral part of your team, as you will ensure our logistics operations function runs effectively and efficiently.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal departments, such as Operations, Finance, and Product, to create effective business strategies, so teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in project management, as well as great leadership and communication ability.

In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving all logistics related functions, including participating in carrier selections, negotiating rates, researching shipping methods, assessing packaging, reconciling carrier invoices and determining ideal origin to destination order routing by region and supplier.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and logistics stakeholders. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics on a global scale. Responsibilities:
• Supervise logistics functions internally, and at each of our shipping facilities, to ensure carriers and fulfillment partners are meeting our requirements

• Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers for both domestic and international.
• Participate in carrier selection RFPs, Service level agreements/contracts, and assists in carrier negotiations.

• Create reports, KPIs and analyze data to monitor domestic and international transportation carrier performance and identify trends and challenges.

• Work with Customer Support and Fulfillment partners to resolve and or coordinate a response to any logistics issues or complaints

Requirements / Preferences:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field (preferred, not required)
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (required)
• Microsoft Office proficiency, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (required)
• Experience with Google Big Query, Postgresql or other SQL (preferred)
• Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms: Google Looker, Metabase, Tableau, QLIK, Power BI or similar technology (preferred)
• Experience in reconciling carrier invoices to carrier service agreements/contracts (preferred)
• Exposure to RFP creation and carrier service agreements/contract negotiations (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization (required)
• Solid understanding of logistics and carrier capabilities both in the US and Internationally (required)
