About the Position
The Economic Times is looking for a creative Head to lead strategy for the ET audio-video platform.
The creative lead will steer the editorial content, lead production teams, and grow the audience base for both new/existing podcasts and videos. For year 1, the focus will majorly be on ET Audio.
The incumbent will work with a team of:
• Podcast producers, editors, reporters, and hosts (For ET Audio)
• Producers/directors, editors, graphic designers, writers, sound engineers and hosts (For ET Video)
Areas of Responsibility
To work together with editorial, brands, audio/video editors, outside studios, vendors etc to conceptualise shows, & lead discussions with studios for execution of content or oversee production in house. Coordinate with different stake holders to build the library of content.
Job Description:
• Bring vision for how ET can expand in the podcast and the video space given its journalistic strengths and audience growth opportunities
• Help drive the editorial direction of content. Identify content segments, conceptualise shows, and see them to execution
• Work closely with the editorial leadership to create ideas that accurately represent ET’s mission and help create an innovative content line up
• Work closely with the brand teams to achieve the desired audience growth
• Lead the production teams and build/adapt workflow processes
• Participate in ongoing production meetings and other milestone meetings
• Develop show budgets
Desired Skills and Experience:
• 10+ years’ experience in broadcast media combining video & audio
• Deep understanding of established and emerging trends in online content consumption and audience habits
• Experience in working collaboratively with creative and editorial talent and ability to communicate on an executive level while managing the details of multiple day-to-day productions
• Experience leading teams and managing producers, with a priority on setting up a structure and communicating a broader vision that allows your team to do their best work
