Latino Network seeks a bilingual mission-driven professional with bi-cultural familiarity with proven nonprofit and community experience to lead a full range of activities for a growing organization. As part of a dedicated team working toward a shared vision, the SUN Extended Day Instructor is charged with supporting the SUN Community School Site Manager. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position with the capacity to impact the education and wellbeing of hundreds of young Latino children and their families each year. In this role you will support our community by:
• Making reminder calls to families before the start of EKT
• Distributing supplies (from central office and SUN) to the various classrooms
• Helping the facilitator set up room and food for each parent meeting
• Buying food for parent meetings (agency needs to provide access to budget via a credit card)
• Attending EKT team meetings and being willing to support the needs of staff as needed
• Welcoming EKT families as they enter the building,
• Encouraging parents to attend parent meetings if one is scheduled for the day,
• Helping children settle into child care,
• Welcoming guests (librarian, health assistant, etc.),
• Coordinating or making attendance calls
• Posting signs so families know where restrooms, K classroom, Parent classroom is located.
• Calling families off of wait lists if openings occur
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance
• Respectfully takes direction from the supervisor.
