PROJECT MANAGER - ELECTRON
Based out of Rocket Lab's second launch complex in Wallops Island, VA the Electron Project Manager is responsible for leading and continuing to develop a local team that supports all aspects of Electron launch vehicle related orbital and sub-orbital programs. This is a key role in supporting safe and sustainable cadence of launches from Wallops Flight Facility.
Further, as the Electron Project Manager, you are responsible for range and operations coordination with the support services provided by NASA and Virginia Space as well as working closely with other global Rocket Lab facilities including Rocket Lab Headquarters (Long Beach, CA), Auckland Production Complex (New Zealand), LC-1 (Mahia, NZ), or other designated locations.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
• Plan, schedule, and oversee test and operations to meet program and mission schedules
• Collect, maintain, and communicate mission requirements with range and support functions
• Develop, maintain, and manage budget for facilities, equipment, and staffing
• Develop, maintain, and build Electron support team
• Ensure that testing and operations preserve the quality and integrity of critical flight hardware
• Support and participate in business development discussions and proposals
• Work to continually improve and streamline integration, testing, and operations
• Ensure health and safety policies and standard operating procedures are followed
• Domestic and international travel required
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
• 8+ years of project management experience within Aerospace
• Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or similar engineering degree
• Liquid rocket experience
• Demonstrated experience with project management and systems engineering
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
• Active security clearance preferred
• Proven capability with building and running high performing teams
• Clear decision making under pressure
• Proven communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships
