Position Summary

The Email Marketing Specialist is a dynamic self-starter focused on supporting the implementation of an apostolate-wide email strategy at the Augustine Institute. Responsibilities include building email content that ensures a consistent and coordinated tone while adhering to all brand and style guides. This individual will assist in coordinating brand-level and product campaigns across the enterprise and all its channels, working in an agile system to generate unique and compelling content appropriate to each of our brands. In addition to content management and development, this individual will work closely with the Web Analytics and Reporting Manager to ensure we achieve maximum reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI. Experience with email marketing is a must. In collaboration with the digital marketing team, you will help grow our initiatives for the Augustine Institute, FORMED, Amen, Word of Life, Catholic Market, and the Graduate School of Theology. By reaching Catholics with the right message at the right time in their faith journey, you will help them grow in their faith as they continue to engage with the Augustine Institute.
• Specific duties below may not be all-inclusive.
• Management of all emails that connect with our customers, including planning, developing, and implementing the Augustine Institute’s email marketing strategy.
• Refine the email management processes to ensure seamless and coordinated rollout across all product lines.
• Implement email design best practices to maintain brand consistency, engage customers, and drive maximum conversions.
• Keep up with the latest trends in email marketing to ensure marketing tactics are meeting user expectations.
• Deep understanding of our product lines and customer contacts to ensure the right segments of users are receiving the right messaging at the right time.
• Ensure the Augustine Institute is meeting email best practices and customer privacy laws.
• Ensure all email marketing activity is set up to track user behavior and conversions.
• Oversee and manage email segments as a part of our customer contact base. This includes a deep understanding of Augustine Institute’s buyer journeys and product pipelines.
• Analyze campaign performance, report results, and work to continuously improve.
• Work collaboratively with members of the marketing team and other organizational stakeholders.
• Maintain a process for list and contact hygiene to ensure deliverability and maintain an excellent sender score.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience required.
• Master’s in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of professional experience working in an email marketing role.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, MailChimp, Active Campaign, Customer.io, etc., including proficiency in marketing automation technology.
• A thorough understanding of email best practices and ongoing research of market trends.
• Experience with HTML
• Familiarity with analytical and database tools.
• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in marketing strategy, technology, copy, and design.
• Strong ability to think creatively and strategically to identify and resolve problems effectively.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to consistently demonstrate the Augustine Institute’s core values including:
