Duties and responsibilities
• Demonstrates good leadership characteristics, and the ability to lead small groups to complete appropriate inspections or special projects assigned by management with little or no supervision.
• Complete accurate, detailed, and quality inspection / production reports daily.
• Assist in the training and progression of coworkers as needed.
• Must not attempt to operate machinery, vehicle or equipment without proper training and / or competency verification.
• Responsible for keeping work areas and equipment in good, clean, working order, including maintenance, calibrations, and ample spare parts / supplies.
• Protect yourself and others at all times by ensuring that everyone is wearing appropriate PPE.
• Ensure all company policies surrounding health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met

Qualifications & Required Skills

Job Summary

With the guidance of the Maintenance Operations Manager, directs the efficient operation of Maintenance Crews while operating within the established budget guidelines. Works in cooperation with Maintenance Operations Manager, Maintenance Crew Leaders, EMI Account Managers and Assets Manager with quality and customer satisfaction as top priority. Must be available to work in a management capacity for our Winter Services Division. The Field Service Manager is responsible for the overall management of Specified Columbus Region. Responsible for providing leadership and training necessary for the crew leaders to obtain their goal of completing quality project maintenance. This manager will occasionally work alongside crews in the field. Communicate and resolve all issues related to maintenance to ensure all maintenance operations meets company standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises between 20-30 employees depending on the magnitude of the job. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring and terminations, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Also responsible for 5-8 supervisors and their departments.

· Mathematics - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

· Public Safety and Security -Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
