PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field

• Cannabis industry experience required. Regulated industry experience (tobacco, alcohol) a plus.
• Proficiency with developing, directing and/or executing online marketing and social media strategies

Job Responsibilities

Initial focus: bulk flower sales to distributors/retailers.

Future sales will include company branded and/or manufactured products and services.

Identify new and existing sales opportunities

Responsible for actively sourcing, developing, and cultivating relationships with customers

Responsible for in-house lead generation follow up

Continuously assess the cannabis marketplace and communicate trends, market conditions and buyer’s needs to the executive team

Strategize with executive team on best product mix for marketplace

Identify improvements and develop sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals

Effectively communicate and work with all levels of staff and management

Recruit and hire sales staff and develop sales training programs

Manages sales team and sales operations

Establish sales goals; outline and manage sales budgets

Ensure proper internal and external reporting/compliance

As the organization grows, this role will be responsible for the design, build, recruitment and management of the sales team.
