Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and implement the strategic enrollment and onboarding strategies of the college for adult learners looking to continue their education or gain a certificate and/or degree particularly, but not only, through Professional and Continuing Education Enrollment (PaCE). This work includes recruitment and onboarding strategies for historically marginalized adult learners. The position supports the Professional and Continuing Education Program recruitment efforts and direct student service assistance for prospective and current students (for credit and non-credit bearing curriculum), including recruitment communications, such as campaigns, promotion materials, and events, as well as managing the funnel from admissions through financial aid, advising, and registration as needed.
Nature and Scope
The position reports to the Dean of Professional and Continuing Education. As the lead for enrollment strategies for PaCE that includes programming such as Certificates, Prior Learning from Experience, and PacE Paths, this position collaborates with the Undergraduate Admissions Director and Chief Enrollment Officer of the college in order to strengthen the growth of students pursuing both undergraduate and professional credentials at the college.
The position provides leadership and expertise to Admissions counseling staff on all aspects of adult learner recruitment. The scope of responsibility includes strengthening college planning and knowledge of and communication with prospective adult students resulting in increased outreach to underrepresented populations and enrollment of adult students. This position makes presentations to small and large groups within employment agencies and represent the College at community events. This position also serves as a member or liaison representing recruitment efforts for adult learner students on appropriate internal committees and work groups.
In the lead role for recruitment and onboarding new students to PaCE, this position works as part of a team with the PaCE staff and faculty, along with other units on campus. Since the PaCE Dean and faculty may rotate out of these roles, this position plays an important role in maintaining institutional knowledge and a framework of enrollment and onboarding strategy and recruitment within the PaCE program.
Essential Functions

• Work in coordination with PaCE Dean, Chief Enrollment Office, Director of Admissions, and Associate Director of Admissions to develop focused recruitment strategies for diverse adult learners.
• Assist in creating and achieving enrollment goals and objectives based on trend data and historical reporting.
• Provide leadership and collaborate with faculty, staff, current students, and the Admissions staff to develop and sustain recruitment programs for adult learners, specifically those taking part-time, online only offerings, and non-credit certificate programs.
• Initiate and provide innovative on- and off-campus and online continuing education recruitment.
• Initiate, track, and follow up with prospective students (e.g., contact and respond to prospective students via email, letters, phone, and social media) for PaCE, including Certificates, Prior Learning from Experience, and Undergraduate Areas of Emphasis.
• Develop and establish recruitment relationships with state agencies and other enterprises that align with PaCE areas of emphasis in order to connect with and advise students looking for specific certificate or degree options.
• Develop strategic recruitment relationships with regional community college partners for opportunities to continue at Evergreen to complete a degree or earn a certificate.
• In partnership with Marketing and Communications and PaCE staff and faculty, develop and implement specific inquiry forms, campaigns, website content, publications, direct correspondence messaging, and events within the college’s customer relationship management system in order to track recruitment efforts.
• Attend regular Admissions, Enrollment Services, Graduate Program staff meetings and inform them of the PaCE Program recruitment strategies.
• Administer PaCE recruitment budget.
• Monitor, research, and track demand for PaCE curriculum, sharing insights with the PaCE Administration for future curriculum planning and development.
• Provide admissions counseling information about the college (which may include, but is not limited to, academic programs/curriculum, financial aid, scholarships, campus housing, and student life) to prospective students on campus and in the field via written correspondence, in person, email, or by telephone.
• Provide training and serve as a resource to Admission staff by providing guidance and support to enhance recruitment of adult learners to their respective territories.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Serve as the primary contact for collaborative efforts with other offices at the College relevant to recruitment and retention, including Admissions, Registration and Records, and Financial Aid.
• Represent recruitment perspective in collaborative planning for new-curriculum development.
• Participate in quarterly meetings with staff from graduate programs, Admissions, Registration and Records, and Financial Aid.
• Assist in regular program evaluations, production of annual reports, and regular self-studies (for accreditation and program review purposes).
• Assist and work with the Office of Institutional Research regarding managing and tracking of PaCE enrollment data.

Position Purpose
Perform journey level duties in the construction, maintenance, inspection, installation, and repair of campus facilities. This position provides journey level work in trades such as painting, carpentry, masonry, concrete, and sheetrock installation.
Nature and Scope
This position reports to the Maintenance Mechanic 3and is responsible for performing journey level maintenance and repairs of campus facilities. This position requires the ability to work independently, overhead, in tight quarters, and from ladders and man lifts, as well as heavy lifting, manual dexterity, and complete mobility. This position provides direction and instruction to students, Maintenance Mechanic 1, and other Maintenance Mechanic 2 on assigned work projects.
Essential Functions
• Perform journey level maintenance and repair of campus facilities in trades including painting, carpentry, masonry, concrete, and sheetrock installation. The following are examples of typical work performed in each of the trades:
• Painting: Prepare surfaces, repair by filling with putty, caulks, fiberglass, or resin and apply paint on exterior and interior walls.
• Sheetrock installation: Make repairs in plaster and sheetrock, tape, and fairing sheetrock seams.
• Carpentry: Prepare and finish or refinish woodwork and cabinets, build interior metal stud walls, hang and finish sheetrock, install wooden and metal framed doors, layout and install carpet squares and floor tiles, layout and build complete structures from plans, etc.
• Masonry: Layout and set block for retaining walls and set brick pavers and/or tiles in walkways and floors, etc.
• Concrete: Form and pour concrete slabs, walkways, footings, stairs, and ADA ramps, layout and build forms to meet specifications; accurately calculate and order required materials (yardage), cut, dismantle, remove, and properly dispose of old concrete, etc.
• Lead and perform work associated with assigned small-scale remodel projects.
• Install and work from scaffolding, stages, planks, ladders, jacks, and other platforms.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings related to assigned projects.
• Instruct helpers and other maintenance workers as required.
• Maintain and comply with safety standards for the maintenance and construction trades.
• Develop preliminary cost estimates for installation and repairs.
• Complete general maintenance work orders, painting, install shelving, white boards, chalk boards, bulletin boards, campus art, etc.
• Prepare and clean surfaces by use of sandpaper, scrapers, sanding machines, dusters, power washers, power sanders, and paint removers.
• Drive service vehicles, as required; load and unload materials and supplies.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and other equipment, such as forklifts, tractor, man lifts, etc. as required.
• Be available for emergency and unanticipated situations regarding all aspects of the campus facilities.
• Assume lead duties when required.

Essential Functions
• Perform journey level maintenance and repair of campus facilities in trades including painting, carpentry, masonry, concrete, and sheetrock installation. The following are examples of typical work performed in each of the trades:
• Painting: Prepare surfaces, repair by filling with putty, caulks, fiberglass, or resin and apply paint on exterior and interior walls.
• Sheetrock installation: Make repairs in plaster and sheetrock, tape, and fairing sheetrock seams.
• Carpentry: Prepare and finish or refinish woodwork and cabinets, build interior metal stud walls, hang and finish sheetrock, install wooden and metal framed doors, layout and install carpet squares and floor tiles, layout and build complete structures from plans, etc.

Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Fiscal Specialist Supervisor and the Manager of Student Financial Services, independently perform all Accounts Receivable functions pertaining to Collections. This includes performing collection activity on past-due accounts, checking and posting charges and payments to Banner, resolving discrepancies, correcting inconsistencies, and processing invoices. This position uses independent judgment to perform all related duties necessary to process invoices, Journal entries, and payments on a timely basis in accordance with current regulations, policies, and procedures.
Nature and Scope
Essential Functions
• Perform collection activity on past-due accounts, including contacting debtors by phone and by email, issuing final demand letters, setting up and monitoring repayment agreements, and sending delinquent accounts to collections.
• Maintain all records in regards to collection agency placements and reconcile inventories on a monthly basis.
• Process account receivables and incoming payments from collection agencies in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review all statements of charges for accuracy and completion and properly code delinquent accounts.
• Request the cancellation of checks when necessary and make approved corrections to student accounts records once checks are cancelled.
• Use independent judgment to respond to calls and emails concerning payment of accounts and/or student inquiries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts as necessary, including reconciliations to collection agencies and reconciliation of payments from collection agencies.
• Prepare and follow-up on all invoices for students and non-students as required by the college cash handling policy.

This is a full-time, overtime eligible position in Student Financial Services on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College.
Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Fiscal Specialist Supervisor and the Manager of Student Financial Services, independently perform all Accounts Receivable functions pertaining to Collections. This includes performing collection activity on past-due accounts, checking and posting charges and payments to Banner, resolving discrepancies, correcting inconsistencies, and processing invoices. This position uses independent judgment to perform all related duties necessary to process invoices, Journal entries, and payments on a timely basis in accordance with current regulations, policies, and procedures.
Nature and Scope
Essential Functions
• Perform collection activity on past-due accounts, including contacting debtors by phone and by email, issuing final demand letters, setting up and monitoring repayment agreements, and sending delinquent accounts to collections.
• Maintain all records in regards to collection agency placements and reconcile inventories on a monthly basis.
• Process account receivables and incoming payments from collection agencies in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review all statements of charges for accuracy and completion and properly code delinquent accounts.
• Request the cancellation of checks when necessary and make approved corrections to student accounts records once checks are cancelled.
• Use independent judgment to respond to calls and emails concerning payment of accounts and/or student inquiries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts as necessary, including reconciliations to collection agencies and reconciliation of payments from collection agencies.
• Prepare and follow-up on all invoices for students and non-students as required by the college cash handling policy.
• Follow up on invoicing and receiving discrepancies and questions.
• File and retrieve documents maintained by Accounts Receivable – Collection desk.
• Use resources available, including documentation on the Truth in Lending Act, Regulation F, Regulation Z, and the Red Flags Rule to maintain accurate records for past-due accounts and collection agencies.
• Responsible for the quarterly write-offs of unpaid Accounts Receivable charges, including verification of accounting and financial reporting and ensuring write-offs are made against appropriate allowance accounts.
• Verify that collection costs charged by the collection agencies are accurate and process corrections as needed.
• Perform data entry in the Accounts Receivable Banner module as assigned.
• Develop and maintain a desk manual describing current procedures used to complete assigned duties.
• Perform cashiering duties in the absence of the Cashiers office staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
