Job Description
Expeditors, a leader in global logistics, is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn a variety of human resource functions. The position includes exposure to a wide range of human resource functions for the corporate Employee Relations & Benefits department, which supports over 6,700 U.S. employees. This position will specialize in administering Expeditors’ leave of absence, workplace accommodations, and workers’ compensation programs. A successful candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment, have exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, superior attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple on-going projects.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advises employees, managers and Employee Relations Coordinators on Expeditors’ U.S. leave of absence, workplace accommodations, and workers’ compensation programs in a well-reasoned and supportive manner.
• Oversees third-party leave, accommodation, and workers’ compensation vendor to ensure compliance and service standards are being met. Maintains a positive vendor relationship.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with managers and Employee Relations Coordinators to identify workplace accommodations.
• Manages workers’ compensation billing.
• Helps support the development of trainings, resources, and communications in areas of expertise.
• Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.
• Works closely with Corporate Employee Relations & Benefits team on a variety of tasks.
• Meets Expeditors’ annual training requirements.
• Adheres to Expeditors’ 10 cultural attributes: Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary.
• Provide support to all other human resource functions as needed.
Qualifications

Scope of Position
The focus of the Global Sales Executive is on achieving results that are aligned with the overall organization and our strategic goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service to our wide array of... existing customers in the market. Job Description
• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow meeting customer expectations
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system, per Operational Performance Standards (OPS)
• Track and Trace Shipment Files daily
• Scan and validate documents
• Ensure documents are received and processed timely to keep cargo moving
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing, within Expeditors and customer requirements
• Interact with our customers in arranging their domestic or international shipments, meeting customer service standards and performance measurements
• Communicate with service providers regularly to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments
• Understand departmental process flows, and contribute to best practice opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the DLSOPs. Review and update regularly
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures
• Timely responses to emails and voicemails to exceed customer expectations and satisfaction
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
Qualifications
• Minimum High School diploma required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain related topics and trends
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred but not required)
• Fluent in English
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well and excel in a fast-paced environment
