Home Cook Responsibilities:
• Preparing customized meal plans for families based on their preferences, specifications, and dietary needs and keeping in mind budget and seasonality
• Preparing associated grocery shopping lists based on the meal plans
• Shopping for groceries ahead of cooking sessions (upon family request)
• Preparing meals in the family's kitchen in accordance with food health and safety regulations
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas before and after meal preparation
• Packaging, labeling, and storing the food in the fridge or freezer
• Providing families with reheating instructions
• Leaving the kitchen clean
• Receiving feedback from families and making improvements where necessary
Home Cook Requirements:
• Portfolio of family-friendly dishes, including dishes well suited for the postpartum period
• Expert multitasking ability
• Great interpersonal skills
• Passion and pride for delighting people with wholesome, nourishing, and delicious food
• Food Handlers Certificate required
• Willingness to undergo background check upon request

We are looking for a chef to prepare family-style meals for our family of 4 (soon to be 5) 2 nights/week, eg Monday and Thursday (flexible on dates), and do prep/shopping for 2-3 additional meals during the week. The ideal schedule looks like a cooked meal on Monday or Tuesday, something prepped or precooked that we can get on the table in under 45 min. ourselves on Wednesday, another cooked meal on Thursday, a prepped/precooked meal we can finish

We generally eat everything and like a vegetable heavy, carb-light diet with a mix of proteins. One of us is allergic to blueberries and one has a lactose sensitivity (no raw milk/cream, but cooked butter, yogurt and cheese is OK). Someone occasionally available to do 3-course dinner parties when we have guests would also be great, but not mandatory.
