MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CEI INSPECTOR/ENGINEER INTERN

CEI Associate Contract Support Specialist: This position requires a H.S. Diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of secretarial and/or clerical experience, including two (2) years of experience in construction office management having performed related duties (i.e. MAC entry, progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing Construction Contract Changes, etc.). Must be experience in the use of standard Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to Word and Excel. Should exercise independent initiative to help relieve the supervisor of clerical detail. Candidate will assist the Project Administrator with office related duties, including but not limited to MAC entries, progress, and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing construction contract changes, etc. Candidate will work under the general supervision of the Senior Project Engineer and other CEI Staff, plus the following.

CTQP QUALIFICATIONS THAT MUST BE ACHIEVED WITHIN 120 DAYS OF HIRE:
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and II
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I and II
• FDOT Advanced MOT
• Florida Storm water, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control (Optional)
• OSHA 10hr

All qualified candidates must:

(1) Possess the ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.

(2) Possess the ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion.

Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record if required to drive SMA vehicle and/or use personal vehicle for SMA business. Proof of personal automobile insurance if the position requires you to drive your own vehicle for SMA business (does not include incidental use). Complete State of Florida mandatory level 2 background screening prior to start of employment if direct contact with children/adolescents, vulnerable adults, or the developmentally disabled may be involved. Complete Mandt training, CPR, First Aid and AIDS training during the first six (6) months of employment and updated if required.

Physical: Mobility and ability to bend and reach during an 8-12 hour day. Able to lift minimum 10 pounds.
