Responsibilities:
- Clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment using the appropriate cleaning methods and materials
- Load and unload dishwashing machines
- Sort, stack, and store clean dishes in designated areas
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
- Follow proper sanitation procedures to prevent foodborne illnesses
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Skills:
- Cleanliness: Maintaining cleanliness standards in the kitchen area
- Banquet: Assisting with dishwashing during banquet events
- Bussing: Clearing tables and cleaning dishes after guests have finished their meals
- Food handling: Following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Hotel: Experience working as a dishwasher in a hotel setting is a plus
- Hospitality: Providing excellent customer service by ensuring clean dishes for guests
- Culinary: Assisting with basic food preparation tasks when needed
- Food preparation: Supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation duties as required
- Restaurant: Experience working as a dishwasher in a restaurant environment is preferred
- Food service: Understanding the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in a food service setting
