We are looking for a part-time Membership Experience Representative to join our Best-in-Class Membership team!

The Membership Experience Representative is responsible for the daily interaction with FICPA members, prospective members, and CPE registrants. The position also provides and processes information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products, benefits, and services, while representing the FICPA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Communicate professionally with members via phone, email, face to face and through social media resources.
• Process receivables accurately and timely (dues payments, CPE registrations, and product purchases).
• Process member applications, record updates, database cleanup, ensure accounting integrity, and data entry as needed.
• Build and foster positive working relationships with members, firm administrators, and contacts. Utilize obtained knowledge to proactively promote FICPA tools, memberships, benefits, and educational opportunities to potential, past and current members.
• Utilize FICPA and other associated resources to keep abreast of current general legislation and rules affecting the CPA/Accounting profession, thereby enabling more effective communication with customers and accounts.
• Analyze customer needs, making recommendations as appropriate. Up-sell FICPA products, services, benefits, and educational opportunities to accomplish the total customer service experience.
• Conduct outbound call campaigns for membership recruitment.

Experience and Education:

Graduation from high school or an equivalent certificate and knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Proficient in general computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).

THE POSITION

Reporting to the CEO as a member of the Senior Management Team, the Vice President of Government Affairs is responsible for the strategic leadership of all aspects of the Association's public policy, advocacy, government affairs and regulatory efforts, and related activities. The Vice President of Government Affairs also oversees all advocacy-related external communications, including legislative updates, advocacy alerts, and public awareness campaigns targeted to raising awareness of the value of the CPA license to the general public.

This position is a trusted advisor to the CEO and performs a crucial, collaborative leadership role, ensuring all Association legislative communications, public policy and advocacy activities are fully and strategically leveraged to further the vision, mission, and goals of the Association, especially as new and innovative initiatives and projects are developed and launched.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Leads, manages, and provides strategic oversight to the Government Affairs Department.
• Responsible for public policy and advocacy strategies that advance the Association's mission and goals and strengthen' s FICPA's relationship with local, state, and national elected officials.
• Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to achieve public policy and advocacy goals.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory agency activities which affect the public accounting profession, and keep CEO informed of these activities.

• Work with external lobbyists to establish and implement lobbying strategy, both proactively and reactively.

• Participate with senior leadership on institutional planning, policy development, and problem resolution.
• Apprises the CEO and Association's volunteer leadership on pertinent legislative issues, external factors, and policy proposals and actions that could impact the CPA profession in Florida.
• Work alongside Communications Department to write, edit, and direct the strategy around external advocacy-related communications in order to grow awareness and keep members apprised of FICPA's efforts.
• Oversee and direct the public awareness campaigns targeted at raising awareness of the value of the CPA license to the general public. Work in close coordination with the Communications Department to develop and execute campaign components.
• Identify opportunities to leverage strategic executive presence and communications in external public relations to strengthen FICPA's voice in the business community.
• Proactively identify stories that will generate positive coverage of the CPA profession amongst policy makers.
• Alongside the CEO, respond to sensitive media relations situations and leads crisis management communication response teams as needed.
• Staff the CPA/PAC (Political Action Committee) meetings, prepare reports to the appropriate state agency, and assist the CEO in the distribution of PAC funds to legislators and other statewide candidates.
• Serve as staff to FICPA committees and task forces assigned by the CEO. Duties include assisting the committee chairman in scheduling committee meetings, preparing agendas, reports and minutes.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

A work-from-home position but candidate must reside in the FL regional area the position services: the west region extends from Tampa south to Sarasota and Naples. This position requires frequent local travel in the areas the position services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meet monthly recruiting goals with individual, corporate, and firm memberships that achieve budgetary objectives while driving growth, revenue, and sustainability.
• Engage new members within assigned region and assist the local chapter leaders with successful onboarding and connectivity to all programs, products, and services.
