Paramount is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join its Global Information Security Group. This position will be a vital member of the Threat Response team, addressing information security matters globally using a wide variety of security tools. The candidate will assist in handling intelligence and digital risk protection alerting, along with developing and maintaing the alerting criteria that generate them. Additionally, this role will Develop cogent, timely, and actionable intelligence products for presentation through both written reports and presented briefings and provide routine and ad-hoc intelligence support to a number of other Information Security functions, including the Incident Response team.
Responsibilities Include:
• Analyze external intelligence reporting enriched with internal data to determine its relevancy to Paramount, recommend appropriate next steps, and develop the corresponding action plans.
• Work with intelligence and digital risk protection tools to analyze and action alerting regarding potential threats to the Paramount network, brand, personnel, or products.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the alerting rules, intelligence requirements, and key intelligence questions for the Threat Intelligence program based on interdisciplinary cooperation throughout the organization.
• Develop cogent, timely, and actionable intelligence products for presentation through both written reports and presented briefings for a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.
• Provide routine and ad-hoc intelligence support to the Information Security Incident Response team during event investigation and incident handling.
Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience or strong internship experience will also be considered
• Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree preferred or combination of experience & education
• Understanding of hacker techniques (TTPs) and exploits, including current security threat landscape.
• Basic understanding of adversary threat models such as the MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, Pyramid of Pain, and DeTT&CT.
• Familiarity with the incident response processes (detection, triage, incident analysis, remediation and reporting) and how intelligence serves the IR process.
• Basic understanding of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, firewalls, network and email security tools with a variety of enterprise IT and cloud-based architectures and technologies, such as networking, server infrastructure, operating systems, web applications, databases, containerization and mobile Ability to understand and program in Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell and/or C++
• Experience with adversary threat emulation or red team engagements with the ability to tie potential threats to their corresponding security controls.
Additional Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating complex security and threat topics to a variety of audiences in both written reports and live briefings and presentations.
• Extensive operating system knowledge involving Windows, Mac and Linux
• Cloud Security experience a plus
• Be a self-starter, work independently and able to quickly adjust to changing priorities
• History or internal studies background with an understanding of how the political, military, and cyber threat landscapes converge
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 100,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
