As a content associate on the community team at Flickr, you'll act as the team's primary editorial contributor and elevate the stories of the people, interests, and types of photography represented on Flickr. Your work will bring visibility to our members, help foster quality engagement, and drive awareness of how members can use Flickr to further their photography practice. You'll provide... editorial support for your colleagues by offering quality control and editing oversight for additional blog contributors.
The community team focuses its efforts on fostering moments of inspiration, connection, and sharing within the Flickr community. Because community is at the center of everything we do at Flickr, this team plays a pivotal role across the organization.
Flickr is a global community, home to photographers that specialize in all subjects, equipment, and skill levels of photography. As our team's content associate, you'll have the unique opportunity to work with these photographers to share their photography, their stories, and the way they document the world around them.
You will:
• Produce content that elevates the stories of Flickr members, their interests, and the themes and photography.
• Test and implement creative strategies to share Flickr members' stories and bring visibility to their work, communities, and successes.
• Ensure that the diversity of the Flickr community is thoughtfully represented in our editorial programming.
• Drive awareness of how members can use Flickr to further their photography interests.
• Support your colleagues on the community team by offering editorial review of contributor blog posts.
• Share insights with the rest of the team that speak to the impact of the editorial programming.
• Help create and foster adherence to our team's style guide.
• Maintain an editorial calendar.
You have:
• Experience working with online communities.
• Outstanding writing and editing skills.
• Editorial writing experience.
• 3 years of related experience.
Flickr is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Colorado is $70,000 - $75,000. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as defined competency leveling and geographic location.
