The City of Fort Worth Police Department is recruiting Police Cadets who are at least current High School graduates interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement. These are paid, PART-TIME, non-civil service positions designed to provide persons interested in a future career as a Law Enforcement officer the opportunity to work in the law enforcement environment. Cadets perform a wide variety of public safety-related duties in support of the Police Department. These positions offer flexible working hours in between 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Requirements:
• Applicants will be required to pass a physical fitness assessment prior to employment. (This test will include: 5 mile run in 17 minutes, 20 sit-ups in 1 minute, 5 push-ups no time frame but cannot break plank form, and 500 meters on a rowing machine in 2:50 minutes)
• Work hours will be limited to a maximum of 19 hours per week.
Qualifications:
• Candidates must be at least a High School graduate between 18-25 years of age.
• Possession of a valid Texas Driver’s license required.
• Resume required.
• Letter(s) of recommendation are highly encouraged.

• Partial Tuition Reimbursement for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (up to $1,500 per year, after 6 months’ probation period);
