Primary Responsibilities:
Reporter will execute assignments following the direction of the News Managers, Assignment Desk, and Producers
Reporter must develop contacts, find enterprise stories to KTVI KPLR standards, report those stories in a fair and balanced fashion that avoids litigation.
Reporter must be a strong communicator who keeps us briefed on story developments, live location and makes slot
Reporter must know social media platforms and understand what type of content to post. Candidate will be expected to make public appearances and promote KTVI/KPLR when asked
This is not necessarily a list of all responsibilities, skills and duties. This is intended to be an accurate description, however management reserves the right to revise the job or require other tasks be performed when circumstances change, emergencies arise, special projects, or technology changes, etc.
Requirements:
2+ years of reporting experience and a Bachelor's Degree
Strong writing and spelling skills, solid news judgment, accuracy and knowledge of current events in St. Louis
Highly professional with a strong work ethic, ability to perform in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions, flexibility for when news breaks.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must provide a link to online reel when applying.
