The right candidate must be able to provide weather forecasts for all platforms, including broadcast, web and social. Versatility is the name of the game. We need someone who present live from the studio and the field. The right candidate can sustain long-form severe weather coverage but also be live and engaging at a community event. The ability to produce feature news content is a plus. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work, who wants to be part of the community and enjoys being part of a team. The candidate must connect with the community of all platforms, including speaking at schools, community events and other forms of outreach.
A minimum of five years’ experience working as a weather anchor in a medium or large market is required. Must have a polished on air presentation with a strong basis in science.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of three years’ experience working as a weather anchor in a medium or large market preferred.
EDUCATION: College degree in communications/journalism or related field preferred. Degree in Meteorology preferred.
OTHER: Current or in process AMS Seal or NWS certification. Hurricane forecasting experience a plus. Working knowledge of weather and newsroom computers. Ability to ad-lib effectively with news anchors. Good news judgment and knowledge of fair and accurate journalism practices. Excellent people, writing and communication skills; must be a team player.

Credit/Collections
• Review credit applications for completeness in a timely manner. Communicate any deficiencies to the related Account Executive.
• Research and assess creditworthiness of potential customers by checking references, reviewing credit reports, and investigating any history with FOX Television Stations.
• Along with the Director of Finance, determine credit status of new customers and related credit limits.
• Provide credit references to other stations as requested.
• Maintain new account profiles/changes in WideOrbit Traffic through New Account Worksheet.
• Conduct monthly AR Aging meeting attended by the General Manager, Sales and Finance.
• Maintain a Watch List of new and special interest accounts to be monitored closely and discussed on a monthly basis.
• Contact credit clients to collect past due amounts.
• Work with Account Executives on problem accounts.
• Track and collect money for non-credit clients (i.e. Cash-In-Advance).
• Prepare and maintain Accounts Receivable reports including DSO and CIA.
• Monitor and manage credit holds and limits.
• Work with management and outside collection agencies on collection issues.
• Manage the collection process to achieve DSO goals.
Accounts Receivable
• Report payment discrepancies/differences to AE’s.
• Ensure that funds are applied accurately and appropriately.
• Recommend bad debt write-offs.
• Process customer refunds in a timely manner.
• Research short payments of invoices, and manage the credit memo workflow.
• Report pending credit memos to the Accountants at month-end for the monthly credit reserve adjustment.
• Report Account Executive commission chargebacks to the Accountants at month-end.
Invoicing and Adjustments
• Generate monthly billing.
• Monitor proper coding on orders within WideOrbit Traffic.
• Provide monthly summary of credit memos to Station Management.
Log reconciliation
• Assist and provide back-up coverage for reconciling daily billing files (logs) in WideOrbit Traffic.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Represent the Station in a manner consistent with Company business standards and policies.

The assignment desk is the HEART of the newsroom. The ideal assignment editor candidate is passionate about both breaking news and enterprise story generation. We’re looking for someone with strong news judgment who will be an integral voice on our editorial team. Assignment editors must gather story information from various news sources and determine the newsworthiness. Decide what stories to cover and assign/dispatch crews by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist field crews in story development/completion; this includes, but is not limited to, providing directions to a location, providing contact information for a story, providing background information on a story, making preliminary calls to set-up a story.
• Listen to scanners and respond as required.
• Work independently to research story information. This can include but is not limited to, social media, web site searches, calling sources, FOX35 archives.
• Organize and manage news crews.
• Assign and dispatch crews for news vehicles including ENG/SNG vehicles.
• Assign live gear technology to crews as needed
• Communicate story developments to producers, field crews, web team, and managers.
• Call and arrange live shots and feeds with other FOX affiliates. Ensure continuity in coverage.
• Coordinate coverage of special events.
• Write, edit and post stories on the station’s website and social media platforms; on-air, on-line, in-mobile and social.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with sources. This includes, but is not limited to Public Information Officers, corporate spokespersons, public relations personnel, viewers, and members of the public.
• Create and maintain story files. Files should include contact information, background information, newspaper articles, official reports, phone numbers, and addresses.
• Professionally, respectfully and courteously answer incoming calls as quickly as possible. Must be able to communicate intelligibly, via telephone and e-mail, to news crews and callers. Respond to viewer questions and concerns.
• Responsible for daily sorting and distribution of incoming department e-mail and voicemail. Distribute information to the appropriate recipient.
• Stay informed on current events, journalistic practices and changing industry trends.
• Write coverage plans. Effectively communicate between shifts by writing detailed notes. Must be able to regularly and proficiently operate a personal computer, using a keyboard, and news related systems.
• Attend and participate in department editorial meetings. Provide suggestions for stories and participate in post-production critiques.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox 9 KMSP/WFTC is looking is seeking an inventive and creative Director to join our production team and help in crafting our award-winning newscasts.
Responsibilities:
Direct live and recorded newscasts and programs.
Operate Sony ELC production automation.
Work with Producers to pre-code show rundowns in iNews, camera block and place talent.
Set up lighting, props, audio support and strategy sessions, and make post show discrepancy reports.
This position will also be cross-trained on other technical responsibilities such as Master Control and TOC. Position may be required to assist in these areas as needed.
