Responsibilities...
• The preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation
• Working with software development teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Creating and maintaining documentation in various environments/networks
• Producing high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
• Creating tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications

Required Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly
• Associate's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of additional technical writing experience may be substituted for an associate's degree
• Two (2) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required
• Experience in technical writing of software documentation
• Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
• Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
• Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deadlines
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Essental Functions And Responsibilities

Communicate written messages in a creative and strategic manner that represents the Biblical ideas and values of the Standing for Freedom Center. Work on various written projects each week which could include articles, copy for handouts, mailers, and other marketing publications. Oversee content from ideation through to final execution. Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

Qualifications And Credentials

Bachelor’s Degree A minimum of two year’s experience in writing for another publication or news outlet Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and willing to work on various projects at a time. Self-starter, goal-orientated professional who is personable and able to foster working relationships with partners and colleagues. Strong grasp of cultural and political issues that are at the forefront of public consciences. Demonstration of strong agreement with the mission, policy, and advocacy of the Standing for Freedom Center. Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups. Report to Standing for Freedom Center director and Vice President over the Standing for Freedom Center.
