The Opportunity

As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and up to date documentation of all materials and components needed for the manufacturing of Freestyle Libre products. The FreeStyle Libre portfolio has been a cornerstone to Abbott’s successful business and has been developed on a platform of strong innovation throughout the organization. You will collaborate with various departments, including R&D, operations, quality assurance, and procurement, to create and manage Bill of Materials, and manage design transfer activities associated with new products, and design improvements. This is an onsite opportunity in Buffalo Grove, IL or Austin, TX.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage design transfer activities associated with new products and design improvements for the Libre portfolio.
Develop detailed Bill of Materials for Freestyle Libre Products throughout the product life cycle. Manage Libre products BOM portfolio.
Implement changes and updates to the BOM as required due to engineering changes, design modifications or other factors.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, R&D, Engineering, quality assurance, and operations to gather and validate information for BOM.
Ensure that BOMs and documents adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
Generate and maintain documentation related to Device Master Records, BOMs, part numbers and specifications.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure smooth Product change control management.
Develop and manage a process for assigning change review tasks to members of the engineering team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
Education Level : Bachelors Degree
Major/Field of Study: Engineering Field (Bachelor Science in Industrial Engineering).
Entry Level- 0-2 years if experiences.

The Diabetes Sales Associate is responsible for growing sales with HCPs assigned to the territory by developing customer relationships, being an ambassador for Abbott’s FreeStyle products, and strengthening overall market presence.
