ECO Posted On November 26, 2018...

Two leading marine science publications will partner in 2019 to further promote international efforts in marine science and connect the global marine science community.

STUART, FL. November 26, 2018 - ECO magazine (ECO), a leading international marine science publication written by ocean experts and explorers, and the world’s largest and fastest growing marine science journal, Frontiers in Marine Science, have today announced a partnership that aspires to further connect the global marine science community.

A selection of the latest scientific studies published in Frontiers in Marine Science will feature in ECO’s 2019 issues, and the journal’s large network of international editors will have the opportunity to submit stories for both the magazine and website.

The partnership will provide a platform that promotes newly published research to an international audience, helping to share the latest scientific advances in topics from coastal to deep sea. The partnership also aims to encourage scientists to expand how they communicate their research by utilizing trade magazines such as ECO as a platform to share thought-provoking stories, opinions, and work-related advice.

“The dissemination and communication of scientific knowledge are becoming more and more important in today’s society. This is especially the case for marine science. This partnership adds another platform where scientists can stay informed on the latest advancements and learn from others’ experience in the field,” said Kira Coley, senior editor of ECO, lecturer in science communication at the University of Portsmouth, and founder of the science communication resource, The Chatty Scientist.

“Dissemination of new discoveries and innovations is the foundation of scientific progress. By showcasing the latest marine research – from biology to ecosystem functioning to the impact of human activities – this partnership will help accelerate new solutions for the conservation and sustainable use of our oceans,” says Nina Hall, journal manager of Frontiers in Marine Science.

The partnership is part of the wider rebrand of ECO that introduces several exciting changes for 2019, providing essential information for scientists and professionals working in marine and coastal fields.

ECO Magazine is a marine science publication committed to bringing scientists and professionals the latest ground-breaking research, industry news, and job opportunities from around the world.
