Key Responsibilities

Serves as the Coordinator for Outdoor Pursuits and Camp Flastacowo. Oversees all aspects of programming and logistics for Outdoor Pursuits and assists with the coordination of seasonal Camp Flastacowo summer camp program.

Assists with the scheduling, implementation, and leadership of diverse and comprehensive adventure trips and programs. Serves as a resource to the community for outdoor programming. Coordinates custom trips for students, faculty, staff, and the community. Researches areas of interest and oversees trip planning, risk management, and staffing for all trips.

Assists in the coordination and supervision of Camp Flastacowo program. Plans, schedules and supervises camp programs and activities based on American Camp Association (ACA) Accreditation standards. Oversees recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of Camp Flastacowo counselors.

Oversees recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of all Outdoor Pursuits staff.

Assists in other departmental activities and experiential education programming at the FSU Reservation. Serves on various University, divisional, and departmental committees. Performs other duties that support the mission of Campus Recreation and the Division of Student Affairs as assigned.

Ability to become certified in Wilderness First Responder and CPR – Professional Rescuer within the first year of hire.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sport Management, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, or related field and two years of related experience.
• American Red Cross Certification
• A valid State of Florida or Georgia Class E driver's license or the ability to obtain upon hire
• Knowledge of hard skills, including but not limited to paddling (flat water canoeing and coastal kayaking), backpacking, rock climbing, and off-road bicycling, and ability to demonstrate, educate, and train staff.
• Knowledge and ability to identify and operate safely according to industry standards for assigned Outdoor Pursuits trips and programs, summer camp programs, and Reservation operations.

Responsibilities

The Director of Development will strategically design and
execute a personal solicitation program resulting in philanthropic
support by maximizing the identification, cultivation, solicitation
and stewardship of prospects for gifts at the $100,000 and up level
to the College of Motion Picture Arts. This individual will secure,
on an annual basis, private support at the major gift range and
will also be responsible for identification of potential major gift

Strategic Fundraising Development

of the College, the University and the Foundation. Develops,
coordinates and executes an annual major gift plan of the College
of Motion Picture Arts, implementing fund-raising activities
designed to meet an established monetary goal. Establishes new
relationships resulting in philanthropic revenue, maintains
existing relationships which may generate new philanthropic
revenue, and provides prospect/donor-related assessments and
feedback for the College of Motion Picture Arts and the FSU
Foundation. Identifies, qualifies and sustains a donor prospect
portfolio with individuals who have a giving capacity of $100,000
or more. Secures gifts and pledges from alumni, parents, faculty,
staff and friends of FSU.

Central Development Collaboration

Coordinates with central development staff and other
cross-functional team members to identify prospects and develop
team solicitation plans for planned giving, corporate and
foundation relations and principal gifts. Exhibits and promotes a
comprehensive understanding of the philanthropic priorities of
Florida State University, effectively matching the specific
interests of prospects to those specific needs.

Administrative/Events

Assists in the facilitation of meetings, communications,
informational exchanges and project/philanthropic coordination with
the faculty and program staff. Plans for and initiates direct
activities with prospects that are designed to enhance the
affiliation between the prospect and the University. Prepares and
presents gift proposals; negotiates gift agreements. Prepares
correspondence with prospects and documents communications,
solicitation activity and gift information in compliance with
Foundation reporting guidelines. Creates, inspires and maintains
donor loyalty, interest and enthusiasm through stewardship
communication and activities designed to express recognition,
appreciation and the impact of their giving. Implementation
of such a stewardship plan may include but should not be limited to

Volunteer Council/Board Management

Assists in the management of all volunteer boards associated

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience; or a high school

Responsibilities

The FSU Young Parents Project Nurse Educator works as part of a home visiting team to promote the healthcare and overall well-being of court-involved expectant and parenting teens and their young children. This position provides health education and clinical intervention to young families adapted from Yale University’s Minding the Baby® model utilizing a trauma-informed, reflective parenting approach to support the relationship between the teen and child.

The Nurse’s responsibilities are:
• Evaluates the young mother’s perinatal health; obtains maternal/paternal health and birth history; provides lactation support.
• Includes fathers in supporting the healthy development of their children.
• Ensures the establishment of a medical home and timely completion of pre and post-natal appointments, family planning, well-child visits, immunization compliance, and adolescent health visits.
• Collaborates with OB/GYNs, medical homes, and pediatric clinics in the young families’ care. Participates in prenatal, pediatric, and adolescent health visits as a health care advocate and to ensure the young parent’s understanding of medical needs. Assists the family with transportation to visits as needed.
• Assesses the baby’s development based on the ASQ and ASQ:SE and ongoing observations.
• Responds to crisis situations in the home and coordinates with other mental health and/or medical service providers as needed.

The Nurse works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to plan and implement all project activities. Attends weekly meetings/case discussions to address the overall needs of the young parent and child. Completes paperwork and data collection activities in a timely manner to comply with program and funding requirements. Contributes to the development of materials/presentations specific to the Young Parents Project as requested.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with two years of experience or Master's Degree with no experience.

Licensed RN in the state of Florida.

A Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Knowledge of principles, methods, and practices for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Ability to deal with crises and manage sensitive information.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred

Prior OB/GYN or pediatric experience.

Supervises one Graduate Assistant and up to two Graduate Interns, providing support and overall vision of inclusive student experiences and engagement. Co-advises the Homecoming Council in their year-round positions and Spirit Force for their semester long commitments. Attends meetings and events, meets one-on-one with student leaders, and provides guidance and support. Coordinates student leader and volunteer on-boarding, training, development, and transition for campus-wide traditions.

Establishes and maintains working relationships with key campus partners and students to ensure the mission, standards, goals, and objectives are met, including inclusive traditions programming, leadership development, and student engagement at all levels. Develops and implements assessment initiatives for traditions programming.

Attends department sponsored programs and events, establishes connections with students, supports financial literacy, freedom of expression, university policies and procedures, and has an overall knowledge of student engagement.

Participates in the Engagement Team and DSA initiatives, programs, and events to craft and support a vibrant student experience and build community. Support signature events for the department and division, creating and supporting tradition building activities for a vibrant student experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience.

The Position

Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic
Affairs, the Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer
of the College of Social Work. The Dean engages and works with a
