As CFO, you will:
• Lead our financial operations
• Manage our investments and liaise with our investment management team
• Oversee tax filing and manage our external accounting firm
• Coordinate our annual audit process
• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the Executive Director and Board of Directors
• Partner with the Executive Director and Director of Operations to set annual budgets
• Establish processes to ensure our accounts are kept up to date
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations to select and implement financial management software solutions for e.g. expense management, bill pay
• Maintain appropriate internal controls
• Create quarterly and annual financial statements; monitor results to budget

Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of finance experience, with a track record of increasing responsibility
• Significant non-profit experience
• Investment management experience
• Experience with annual audits
• Based in the United States. (Remote work is supported)
• Strong analytical abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excited by the prospect of joining a small but influential team looking to improve humanity’s future

Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA
• SF Bay Area physical location is a mild plus. (Remote work in the US is supported)

This is the equivalent of $150k - $250k annually. Compensation will vary depending on experience and geography.

Work Type: This position is envisaged to be part-time (~20 hours per week) but it is possible in some circumstances to be a full-time role.
