Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Provide CFI services in accordance with FAA syllabi and standards.
• Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate records as required by FAA, maintain a positive environment for students with emphasis on safety, professionalism, and equipment security.
• Participate in activities of the instructional team, including planning, development, and scheduling as a cooperative and professional team player.
• Mentor students as a positive role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals.
• Participate in professional development activities which provide for continually updated knowledge and skills.
• Supervise student solo flight activities.
• Maintain all appropriate training records.
• Using FVTC airplanes/simulators as required, continuously meet the recent flight experience requirements of FAR 61.57 (c), 9d), and (e), for single and multi-engine land planes, and maintain documentation required by FAR 61.51.
• Maintain full compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and College/Program policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Assist with academic issues and counseling of students for student success.
• Assist with student recruitment and support public relations efforts.
• Assist with updates of charts/data/etc.
• Assist with coordination of aircraft maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
• CFI-ASEL, CFI-AMEL, and CFI-IA is required.
• Ability to maintain a Class I or II medical certificate, a current Flight Review (FAR 61.56), and a current CFI certificate (FAR 61.197).
• Time in a C172 and/or BE-76 is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Subject to FVTC's Motor Vehicle Records Check.

• Assist and advise students who have problems with assignments, tests, grades, course content, career concerns, and other academic matters.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in related and appropriate field. (Based on experience and expertise, an individual with an Associate Degree or equivalent may be considered), and
• Minimum of two years of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught, of which at least one year shall be within five years prior to date of hire. One year of recent related occupational experience may be waived if the instructor has at least two years of post−secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within five years prior to date of hire. Three to five years of occupational experience preferred.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred.
• Qualified per FVTC requirements at time of, and throughout employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job specific licensing standards.

The employee will work closely with Counseling and Advising Services, Enrollment Services, Multicultural Student Services, Educational Support Services, and academic departments and programs to ensure appropriate services and resources are provided to students.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOBS FUNCTIONS
• Develop and maintain strategies to engage and convert prospective students to enrolled students. This requires marketing to and FVTC representation at high schools, special events, community organizations, etc.
• Build and maintain relationships both in person and through the utilization of technology to include the college's student relationship management (SRM) system. This includes follow-up with contacts via phone, email, text, etc.
• Utilize the SRM system to enter leads appropriately and ensure targeted communication is distributed per established rules to prospective students. This includes collaborating with the CRM Enrollment/Retention Specialist to provide feedback to influence strategies to successfully meet the needs and demands of customers.
• Provide one-on-one and/or group intake sessions for incoming students to discuss FVTC program requirements scheduling classes, paying for college, and developing a plan for transition from their current situation to being an enrolled student. This may include collaboration with faculty and other departments across FVTC.
• Navigate admissions processes by program and have knowledge of MyFVTC to assist students.
• Plan and facilitate orientations and workshops for new students to include tours, new student registrations, nursing information sessions, etc.
• Assess student needs and provide referrals to college and community resources to support the educational goals of the student. This includes the coordination of transitional services such as Counseling and Advising Services, Educational Support, Multicultural Student Services, TLC, etc.
• Comprehension of testing, scores and knowledge of the necessary preparation courses for programs. Understand and communicate program plans, checklists and admissions requirements.
• Disseminate FVTC marketing material and publications in all outreach efforts.
• Serve as coordinators for major student recruitment events. Assist in scheduling, coordinating and hosting individual and group campus visits for prospective students and families in conjunction with external recruiting activities and the College's enrollment management plan.
• Evaluate events, programs and conversion efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
• Work with other departments at FVTC to develop future marketing plans. This may include outreach at job centers, career fairs, etc.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Based on market conditions, provide input to the marketing staff on the development of FVTC marketing communications directly related to student recruitment.
• Monitor FVTC marketing material and disseminate as needed.
• Recruit, train, and oversee student ambassadors and interns.
• Other duties as assigned to include involvement in strategic planning activities and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
• Associate Degree in a related field is required, AND
• A minimum of two years of recent, related experience which includes responsibility for working with students in providing entrance and program information and guidance in a college educational or transitional program, AND
• A minimum of two years of recent, related experience providing information to students on college admission, financial aid, or registration processes, OR
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience related to sales and marketing.
• Demonstrated experience in working with a diverse adult student population is required.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions
• Receive and review reports and referrals for student behavioral and well-being concerns and alleged violations of the FVTC Student Code of Conduct Policy. Perform the initial research and determines and/or follows appropriate processes or responses for a variety of situations, including but not limited to Title IX, BIT (Behavioral Intervention Team) response to students in distress or experiencing trauma, and students who may pose a threat to themselves or others. Makes case decisions and communicates decisions and outcomes to students and employees as appropriate.
• Collaborate to manage the Student Code of Conduct and adjudicate student conduct violations and participate in the campus conduct process. Uphold behavioral expectations through investigations, serving as a key member of the BIT Team and partnering with key stakeholders (e.g., Campus Safety & Security, Campus Support Services, and other faculty and staff) to manage unsafe and/or disruptive student behavior. Utilize available software programs (e.g. Workday, and Maxient) to document all communication about misconduct and access/analyze student data.
• Provide direction to students and reporters from inception to the resolution of an incident, uphold students' rights and responsibilities within the student conduct process and the campus community, and assist students in navigating college grievance and appeal processes.
• Develop an intervention/response plan for student support and direct the implementation of the plan through a resolution that may involve referring students to appropriate services, on and/or off campus. Identify community resources and establish collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.
• In collaboration with the Student Life team, coordinate and deliver student activities and programming at the Oshkosh Riverside campus, regional and training centers.
• Assist in the assessment of Student Life events for which the position is responsible to ensure that stated outcomes are being met and that services align with College mission.
• Assist in the development and delivery of training to faculty and staff on how to respond to student behavioral concerns, including classroom management, best practices/trends around mental health, and policies and procedures (including local, state, and federal law).
• Assist in the development and delivery of annual programming around alcohol, drug, food, and housing awareness.
• Support College efforts to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws including, but not limited to, the Clery Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Drug Free Schools and Community Act (DFSCA) and serve as the co-chair and case manager for the campus BIT Team.
• Complete disciplinary records and reference checks for transfer, employment, educational licensure, or other purposes.
• Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Provide assistance with promotion of campus events and marketing of the department.
• Provide assistance to fellow team members as needed to support the overall mission of Student Life.

Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field (e.g., criminal justice, business, higher education administration, psychology, social work) and one to two years of experience in College Student Services, preferably related to Student Life/Development and/or Student Conduct; OR
• Associate Degree and 3 to 4 years of experience in College Student Services, preferably Student Life/Development and/or Student Conduct;
• Demonstrated experience working with underrepresented populations.
• A valid driver's license is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The duties listed below outline the general expectations of adjunct faculty. Each program will have specific teaching assignments that will be developed at the time of hiring, based on the department's needs.
• Plan, develop, and implement appropriate instructional strategies, including alternative delivery strategies when appropriate.
• Assist and advise students who have problems with assignments, tests, grades, course content, career concerns, and other academic matters.
• Research, develop, and administer skills assessments before, during, and after courses and services with an emphasis on evaluating student performance in courses taught by the instructor.
• Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Comply with college policies and directions regarding student testing record keeping, advanced standing, providing grades on a timely basis, maintaining office hours for student assistance and counseling, etc.
• Meet professional expectations by maintaining professional currency and contributing to a collaborative culture across the College.
• Attend division, department, and advisory committee meetings as requested.
• Participate in appropriate staff development activities such as diversity awareness, technology training, etc.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission, vision, and values.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in related and appropriate field. (Based on experience and expertise, an individual with an Associate Degree or equivalent may be considered), and
• Minimum of two years of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught, of which at least one year shall be within five years prior to the date of hire. One year of recent related occupational experience may be waived if the instructor has at least two years of post−secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within five years prior to the date of hire. Three years (within the last five years) of occupational experience is preferred.
• Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
• Must possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) such as Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and the joint Certified Surgical technologist/Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST/CSFA) Credential.
• Qualified per FVTC requirements at the time of, and throughout employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job-specific licensing standards.

• Research, develop, and administer skills assessments before, during and after courses and services with an emphasis on evaluating student performance in courses taught by the instructor.
• Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Comply with dual credit policies and adhere to the deadlines outlined on the Dual Credit Academic Calendar.
• Meet professional expectations by maintaining professional currency.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission, vision, and values.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

In alignment with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), Fox Valley Technical College has set certain guidelines that high school dual credit instructors are expected to maintain.
• Employed as a K-12 teacher within the agreed upon school district.
• Hold a master's degree. Copy of official college transcripts are required highlighting related degree awarded and date conferred (Required at time of application)
• High School teachers must hold a current DPI license in Psychology (740) (Required at time of application)
• Any additional certifications if applicable.

ESSENTIAL APTITUDES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

The knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below outline general expectations of Dual Credit teachers. Each department/area will require specific skills and abilities. It is the responsibility of the high school teacher to review and discuss the requirements of the position for which they are applying.
• Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies, including learner-centered instruction, assessment, evaluation and collaborative techniques and strategies that address closing the gap in student access and achievement across race, gender and disability.
• Skilled in the use of educational technology and alternative delivery methods.
• Knowledge and ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
• Skilled in communications and human relations with populations having diverse socio-economic and racial backgrounds, as well as individuals with disabilities.
• Skilled in oral and written communications.
